A very nice accommodation in a very nice area. We had a room on the ground floor with a small terrace in front of the door. Breakfast buffet has everything your heart desires. The staff is very accommodating. There is a market there on Wednesdays and so we were able to stroll through the streets in the bright sunshine and collect small treats as souvenirs. We will happily stay here again the next time my brother-in-law visits.

We had a room in the basement. The bathroom was separated. The shower had no partition. The entire floor in front of the sink was wet.There was no staff. We had to go to reception and breakfast in another hotel.

Almost everything in the place is closed on Tuesdays, the rest is completely overcrowded, which is a shame. The Haus am Grieß was only there for the first two days with the reception and breakfast team, which we didn't know. Unfortunately, we had to change apartments after a few hours and unfortunately into a room without a kitchenette, couch and balcony. Then unfortunately not everything worked in the room. Sponge about it, the team is great and very polite and the cleaning fairies do a great job. The home-brewed beer and the beer celle are a dream. The food is full on Thursday Again it was halfway good but to be honest, we don't have to have it anymore. Breakfast was very good and there were really tasty things. The whole team makes up for a lot of disappointment, we actually had to deal with everyone and the team is really great. But on a short vacation when I look out the window, I don't really want to look at Dixikloo, cars, etc. It's different in the pictures. Our conclusion, the people in all the other restaurants, egg shops, bakeries, etc. are really great, but Unfortunately, accommodation was nothing and Murnau itself wasn't exactly great. It's a shame because the people and staff are so nice everywhere. But I can 1000% recommend the Murnauer restaurant, I've rarely had such a great meal, although it's a bit more expensive but the food is incredibly good. My opinion Conclusion, the environment, the people are really great, but the town of Murau am Staffelsee and the accommodation were not for us and we can't recommend it, and honestly, I'm really sorry for that, it's not a lie and not an exaggeration, the people, The staff are really top class and super nice and friendly

First the pros 🙂:Very nice picturesque location, very friendly, dedicated staff, you are always greeted, even outside the room on the way across the complex, everyone is hard-working from the staff to the boss, nice rooms, breakfast standard but very tidy and fresh, the girls are constantly cleaning up and clear the tables quickly, it's quick and routine,WiFi is great, I have nothing to complain aboutHere are the cons:The patchouli smell in the stairwell is not for everyone and is quite intrusive after a while, but there is a different smell in the room.Sometimes you become operationally blind after years, so here's some inspiration:There's mold in the shower, in several places, it's also starting on the sink, cobwebs inside and outside when you open the window, the closet door is warped, and there's no way to hang up the damp towels (and it's quite loud outside until late in the evening , but no one can do anything about it)Housekeeping should see such things and eliminate them, report them or, ideally, prevent them from happening in the first place. If in doubt, everything can be done in just a few minutes, which is a real shame, especially in a hotel that advertises itself with 4 stars.But because of all the other wonderful pros and the extremely friendly staff, I'm still happy to give this 4 stars.

Just a few steps on foot to the pedestrian zone. Clean but very spartan. The bathroom is only separated from the rest of the room by a half-open glass wall. No contact person on site. Very loud and not suitable for people with walking difficulties due to the many stairs.
