The youth hostel is a great place for hikers and for classes who like hiking.I was there a month ago with my class when we were on a school trip.The youth hostel has great food and you could always get water which makes it better and in the morning there was always coffee, juice and milk and what I think is great about breakfast, lunch and dinner is that it is always served as a buffet. The rooms in the youth hostel were clean and the staff were very nice. But because my class teacher is a sports teacher, we had to climb the hill that was a few hundred meters away every lunchtime to do an activity.I had sore muscles a few times because of it.

I would recommend that anyone who goes on a school trip to Willingen stay there. There is a great program with which you can get to know Willingen or get to know it better. The food was great. The rooms were just as good, but the problem was that they were a bit dirty and a lot of insects collected at night when you were on the bottom floor. You also get a balcony if you share the room with 5 or three others. Otherwise I had a lot of fun there. I got to know Willingen with my class and we did all sorts of activities in Willingen.

The youth hostel is located in the village of Schwanefeld, about 5 minutes by car from Willingen. There are three houses with different room sizes. The rooms are getting old, but that's a general issue in youth hostels.The hostel team was very friendly, accommodating and organized. Even though we had booked for several people, last-minute cancellations were taken into account - that's not a given!The breakfast and dinner were completely sufficient and delicious. There is a Britta water dispenser and the option to order beer.The cleanliness of the sanitary facilities was more than okay.It was a very good stay for our purpose - we were in training camp with a soccer team.

I was there with two classes as a child and it was really nice there. Food was delicious, vending machine was good, room was very clean, bathroom was great but unfortunately there were no towels. I was able to sleep very well there.

From the very beginning we were impressed by your helpfulness, friendliness and your constant efforts to make our stay as pleasant as possible.The hostel's facilities, the really good and sufficient food and the opportunities for active leisure activities were also exemplary. On site with two 6th graders. Super friendly and committed staff. Spontaneous activities, such as visiting a climbing gym, are made possible immediately.Very good food, many thanks to the kitchen.

Rooms were dirty, they hadn't been vacuumed or mopped for a long time. The bed sheets were dirty, but at least the covers were freshly washed.2 toilets and showers per floor are unreasonable considering that around 20 people can be accommodated on each floor.There were no towels to dry your hands in the toilet; towels generally had to be taken with you.The shower curtain was moldy, the shower was dirty and everyone had a perfect view of the shower from the dining room... of course not with frosted glass but with normal windows.The food was anything but edible. Flavor enhancers, tons of sauce thickeners, etc. were used everywhere. Sufficient sports nutrition was not even a possibility. As a vegetarian I was completely lost. It wasn't nutrient dense. I definitely didn't get enough protein etc.Breakfast was okay and completely sufficient. Apart from the fact that there was no cutlery after 9:00, even though breakfast lasts until 9:30.The location is nice, there are enough parking spaces.In the main building there was a water dispenser and snack and drinks machines. Price wise okayWiFi is only available in the main building... supposedly so that young people and children don't spend too much time on their cell phones. Well, most people have enough mobile data anyway, so wifi would have been nice to be able to do some work during breaks etc. or something similar without wasting the mobile data.Bottom line: a facility that I wouldn't use again.

We were there as a group of friends, everything went great, the food was delicious (there were even vegan options!) and the rooms were really, really clean! You can easily reach the ski slopes by bus, supermarkets are also nearby, and the almost-almost-mountain on your doorstep is very, very, very good for tobogganing. It was great, again next year :)

My daughter and I had a very nice weekend in Willingen. The rooms are functional, typical youth hostel shared rooms, everything was extremely clean. The view of the snow-covered mountains from your own balcony was simply great. The sanitary facilities were reserved exclusively for us.The food was served as a buffet, leaving nothing to be desired both in the morning and in the evening.The entire youth hostel team was super friendly and helpful.We'll definitely be back!
