Apparthotel Birkenhof

We have booked an apartment here. Are here with 2 people. Have 2 spacious double rooms, spacious balcony, large living room with kitchenette: oven, microwave, dishwasher, coffee maker, kettle. AWESOME!!

Have been there several times and always enjoy being there again!Everything fine! 👍...at least that's how it's always been...Well... the aparthotel is now in Göbel's hands and it certainly hasn't gotten any better... but it's definitely more expensive! Significantly more expensive!There is a lot of cash in, especially for shorter weekend trips.

Positive: We definitely had enough space for ourselves at the Apparthotel Birkenhof. The apartment was clean and in a good location, close to the center. For the price we paid, it was actually great. But.... (see what we didn't like and therefore never again!).Negative: Unfortunately, we only found out on site that the Apparthotel Birkenhof was recently taken over by Göbel's Hotels.I had already written a negative review for my stay at Göbel's Landhotel last year.When we arrived at the Apparthotel Birkenhof, we searched in vain for a reception on several floors. Finally we found out from the Dutch people who came to meet us that we had to go to the reception at Göbel's, across the street. And here it started again in the old Gobel's quality...The ladies at the reception were very dissatisfied that I had pointed out to them a lack of information about the reception at Göbel's. Although we were business travelers and had stated so when booking, the ladies now demanded a negative corona test (not required for business trips). I showed the lady my complete vaccination, my wife didn't have her vaccination card with her because, as I said, it's not required for business travelers. One of the ladies even insisted that not only my wife, but also me (vaccinated twice, 2nd vaccination a month ago) had to do a corona test first. We were told that if we didn't like it, we could leave immediately because they had the right to stay there. Note: Göbels had a Corona testing point opposite, probably its own, since the person being tested was in Göbel's and waiting for patients. Probably an additional source of cash income. I almost had one foot in the competition and wanted to leave the hotel. Somehow the topic of business trips and corona tests became unnecessary and we were given the keys. We were refused the included Willingen Plus Card; we only received it after a long discussion and presentation of the offer. However, we received the cards without the required code, which always caused problems when inserting the card. We didn't receive a WiFi password.Conclusion: Nice apartment in the wrong hands. Therefore a NO GO for us.

Beautiful apartment. Was bigger than expected. The location is ideal. Right in the center and nice and central. Private parking space at your apartment. Nice eatery below the apartment. …

stayed for a midweek. The apartment was much larger than we expected. Lots of fun things to do and see in the area. Walked a lot. We will definitely come back here! I'm already looking for a weekend in the winter.

Are satisfied every year

I can only warmly recommend the apartment. The location is 1a, the apartments are very spacious. The prices are fair and the boss is friendly. Willingen at any time at the Birkenhof!

First-class holiday apartment and tastefully furnished. Booking online worked perfectly.Very friendly and friendly welcome upon arrival!Also recommended for people with walking difficulties (barrier-free shower) and enough space in the bathroom.
