Good morningMy colleague and I stayed here at the Hotel Schwedenkrone in October 2024.Although we were only here to have a bed and a shower at night, this turned into a nightmare. The location was of course ideal for us. Of course, a penny could be reached on foot in 5 minutes. Also a gas station. The rooms are pretty noisy. You can often hear banging from other residents running in and out and locking the room doors. For 10 square meters, the single rooms are also very manageable. The bathroom was also very small and narrow for my standards. There is also a lack of a proper shower door. Because when you shower you flood half the room. The TV was great, only the mattresses on the bed were very soft, so that my back felt bad in the morning.Actually, for a hotel as stated you should also expect daily room service or check. But error message. The rooms were only checked every 2 days at most. But nothing was cleaned. There was even some trash left in the trash can.My colleague couldn't even control the heating because the thermostat was broken. The restaurant next door was currently under renovation. However, a coffee machine, toaster and various other items were provided in front of the restaurant. If you called the so-called landlord of the rooms, you were only halfway satisfied.I wouldn't recommend this hotel at the moment.Maybe something will change.

Stayed at this hotel from October 3rd to 6thCheck-in OK was explained in advance in writing. Open key in compartment with code. Guest information on the bed. There is no shelf in the bathroom except for a small one in the shower, not enough for 2 people and no shower curtain, the bathroom is floating, you can be careful. Toilet unkempt and not clean. There are still traces of the previous tenants on the toilet paper holder lid. No wardrobe, only one seat in the room. Very dusty and thick cobwebs in the corners of the nightstand! Rooms very small! Mattress and bed good. We knew there was no breakfast. When booking they said 89, when confirming it was 99 without breakfast!! I complained and got 89 confirmed. With another provider the room would have only cost 82! When I mentioned this, they said there would be additional fees, but that's not the case with this one because I book there often! If the hotel is being renovated, the prices should remain a little cheaper or close temporarily. The room faced the courtyard right next to the entrance door, you could hear everything from early on, construction noise, confirm the barking of dogs! And smoking guests stood right in front of the front door, one guest needed it at 3 a.m. and 4 a.m. apart from the smoke that they could smell or cough. You get to know everything that comes and goes. OK, not again, there are cheaper and better apartments right in the city. Unfortunately we already lived there and it was already occupied.

From what I heard the hotel got new owners. They first have to do a lot to get the hotel going. At the moment there are mostly craftsmen there during the week. Unfortunately, the rooms are getting a bit old and need to be refreshed.Further information can be found under the Rooms section!

Unfortunately, there is currently little personal support on site. Nevertheless, everything was completely satisfactory. I hope for the operator that it will be worth opening the restaurant again soon - it was pretty good. But there is everything you need within walking distance.

Two months ago we booked a room with a “rich breakfast” for €128. When we arrived the reception was not occupied. The door was locked and we didn't have a code for the key safe. It was only after a phone call that we were able to take the key out of the safe. On the phone!!! When we asked about breakfast times, we were told "We no longer offer breakfast, there is a gas station opposite with baked goods"!!! Otherwise we didn't see any employees or other guests. The smoke detector in the room was missing, the towels on the bed were so wet that they were still damp the next morning. The shower curtain didn't reach the shower tray. Apparently the toilet flush above us was broken, or at least water was running through the downpipe the whole time. WiFi, was there WiFi??? Ultimately we were charged €105 for the night, even though most providers offer €89.

Disastrous Wi-Fi connection, if available at all, only very rarely and terribly slow...Then at least don’t advertise it on your website.Rooms could also be cleaner. For the price you expect at least some hygiene.Staff was friendly.

The hotel is located far from the city center. The single room is tiny!!!! and hot. There is no air conditioning. All in all, the stay is tiring and not relaxing.Unfortunately!

Booked 5 single rooms online (€85/room), the access code was sent via SMS, the key safe worked without any problems. My room, a big disappointment:- approx. 8m² floor space,- Dirt buildup on furniture,- a hole in the ceiling (covered with a garbage bag),- no lamp on the bed or table,- There was no functioning ventilation in the bathroom, otherwise it was sufficiently clean,- no curtains, just dusty black curtains,- no toilet paper, I had to look for it myself, there was an industrial pack for self-service at the (unstaffed) reception. What I liked:- Drinks vending machines (hot and cold) at the reception,- a wooden shed for the bikes, which was overcrowded and therefore unusable,- we "tied" our bikes to the banister at the back,- the breakfast was plentiful and extremely good and was served in the “Schmankerl” restaurant, which belongs to the “Schwedenkrone” (spatially connected),Conclusion:Never again Swedish crown!
