I would call it a bed and breakfast. The room was big enough, the bathroom was very small and everything was clean. The breakfast was very appealing. The service was very friendly and helpful.

We were guests at DasZimmermann last weekend and it is absolutely recommended. We had a room with a shower, which was large enough for us.In addition to the delicious cakes, DasZimmermann also offers small dishes; On the first evening we chose the Oberland plate, which was lovingly prepared with Black Forest ham, cheese, a boiled egg and tomato and cucumber.After a restful night, we enjoyed the very extensive, delicious breakfast buffet with various types of bread rolls from the in-house bakery.The Zimmermann is ideally located for hikes - e.g. the Lebküchlerweg or Schluchtensteig, but also other attractive tours.For us it was a very nice weekend with hosts who care about the well-being of their guests.We have a clear recommendation for this house.

We were only here for breakfast.A more than sufficient buffet with everything you could want for breakfast.The service was warm, friendly and accommodating.The prices are absolutely justified, two categories, normal and as an upgrade with an open choice of drinks including a glass of sparkling wine.We would love to come back here.

Have already visited Café Zimmermann several times.There is a large selection of cakes and cakes.The cake is absolutely recommended.The breakfast buffet is excellent, great selection, no wish remains unfulfilled.The employees are super friendly.A visit is recommended.

Everything you need for hiking. Top price. Clean, rich breakfast from our own bakery. Great croissants.Service top.Highly recommended.We were guests for one night during the Schluchtensteig long-distance hiking trail.

We stayed here on our Schluchtensteig hike after the 4th stage. Once you arrive in St. Blasien, the bus takes you to Todtmoos in just under 30 minutes, then you go back the next morning and hike the 5th stage. The following day we walked further to Wehr and took the bus back in just under 30 minutes. Then we added 2.5 wonderful days of hiking and felt absolutely comfortable. The Matt family is very friendly, the rooms including a lavish breakfast buffet (homemade bread and rolls, coffee from the fully automatic machine, sparkling wine, etc.) are good value for money and the Black Forest cherry cake was a dream. Absolute recommendation as accommodation for the trail and for a hiking holiday in the Black Forest.

The room and bathroom were clean and okay. The bathroom is getting a bit old.The breakfast was the very best I have experienced compared to dozens of hotels in recent years. Fantastic. I assigned it to the service under the stars.

We went to Zimmermann's twice for the cherry cake lecture. The boss gives this lectureskillfully and with a touch of humor. The café is totally and beautifully renovated. The Black Forest character was not lost. The Black Forest cake was very, very tasty.

Stayed overnight and had breakfast here. Everything is TOP and the friendliness and service even deserved more than 5 stars. The breakfast selection is great, everything is fresh, very varied and lovingly prepared.

Every bread and/or roll tastes like old craftsmanship and the way it should taste. The pastries are also highly recommended.The only drawback is the opening times, for working people who would like to take something healthy with them for a snack; will stand here in front of closed doors.
