Wonderful ambience. It's a bit away from Zingst or prero, BUT highly recommended. If you just want to get away from everything professionally or privately, come here. The accommodations are very clean, the staff is very friendly and always there for you. All in all, really recommended

Looking for a few days of relaxation from Berlin, a friend recommended the Gutshof Hessenburg to me. All I can say is: I'm absolutely thrilled!The time-honored manor house has been superbly renovated: the rooms are modern and luxuriously furnished and harmoniously integrated into the historical building structure (keyword: open brick à la New York Loft!) - you feel right at home and sleep heavenly.With the good country air, strolling in the beautiful, historic park is pure joy. A pair of storks also live on the estate in their huge nest on a high mast. I was told that the pair returns every year for breeding season. I'm already looking forward to watching them again next summer.The estate also has a very interesting museum, which has the theme of the crane. What is particularly interesting here is the eclectic examination of the subject - from child-friendly didactic, to historical evidence, to contemporary installation art - this is where the cultural heart is served.Last but not least, I would like to mention how much I enjoyed the delicious food in the Alte Schmiede, as well as the stimulating company of other guests (writers, artists).Insider tip: get on your bike in the evening and enjoy the sunset on the lagoon.
