We chose Harburg for a family trip. The tour is highly recommended and absolutely worth the price. A lot of detailed information was presented. So we got a good idea of the story. To quench our hunger and thirst, we stopped at the castle tavern. She has been lucky enough to have a new tenant since May. All three of us found the price and performance convincing. The breaded schnitzel was tender and the fries were crispy and tasted fresh. The accompanying side salad (fresh and crunchy) rounds off the dish.My daughter's wish to swap strawberries for chocolate for her ice cream sundae was happily fulfilled with a nice smile.Clear recommendation if you want to have something to eat and drink comfortably. Friendly and service-oriented service is included free of charge.I can't say anything about the hotel.

What a change of tenant like this can do...Finally you can enjoy eating at the Burgschänke Harburg again. My family and I were absolutely thrilled. Super nice service - no fake friendliness, but from the heart.Small but fine menu - there is a dish for everyone. The food was very good and the portions were large enough. As mentioned in another review, the fries are top notch. Never had such delicious fries before...A big thank you goes to the new tenant who took this risk. Also the restaurant manager and the waitress, who both do a great job and really live the service. We felt comfortable and will come back. Finally you can recommend the Burgschänke again with a clear conscience! I hope that word spreads throughout the district that the new tenant and his entire staff are trying very hard to make people forget the negative experiences of the last few years and that a visit to the Burgschänke is worthwhile again.

Went there for lunch and received very friendly service. Good selection on the menu - both drinks and food. Particularly delicious fries 👍🏻 The ambience on the terrace is of course unbeatable thanks to the castle.

The food was very tasty. The service was friendly and accommodating. We didn't like the first non-alcoholic wheat and we got a sample of the other non-alcoholic version. Yummy.Roast pork great. We didn't see the rooms because we were only there to eat, but the whole castle is really beautiful.

We visited the castle yesterday afternoon and were very impressed by both the ambience and the castle tavern. We ordered both a cold dish and a warm dish and both tasted very good.We were served by two very friendly waitresses. We were often asked whether everything was okay and our wishes regarding the food were also implemented very well. The castle itself is worth seeing and would be happy to recommend it.All in all a very great trip.
