We stayed there for 4 nights. We were super satisfied. The rooms were well equipped and there was plenty of storage space in the bathroom. Only the shower curtain takes some getting used to. The breakfast room and breakfast were great. You can ride a bike great and also load the bikes. If the weather is bad you can use the thermal baths. Was a great vacation.

I arrived at the hotel shortly after 6:00 p.m. and couldn't reach any of the staff. Later, a lady let me into the hotel and left without saying a word.... After a while, the owner came with a couple, the man simply insulted me and hit me, which I didn't understand at all, what was going on here... I had to go to the police call. That's it, my vacation. I paid for the room in advance and couldn't stay overnight. Never again. The only thing I can enjoy there is the Kochelsee, the water was wonderful! Thanks to nature!

Typical Bavarian cosiness paired with modern elements invite you to feel good. The breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired and is the best in a long time: scrambled eggs made from fresh eggs and homemade cakes, antipasti and countless coffee specialties reflect the personal touch of the hotel. With the nearby bus stop and the guest card, many destinations can be reached free of charge in a short time. Great value for money.

Location:Close to the center in Kochel am See. Quiet location. Parking spaces on the property. The lake can be reached on foot. Hikes can be started directly from the hotel.Hotel:Small, family-run hotel. Entrance area and reception a bit dated but nicely decorated. Small elevator to get to the 1st floor. You can only get to the 2nd floor via stairs. The breakfast room has been modernized and appears bright and spacious. Adjacent to the buffet is an area designated for the staff, which probably functions as an office and children's room, which is unfortunately a bit annoying when having breakfast because there is no door.You can get a discount on the entrance fee for the Kristall Therme trimini at the reception.Room:Some rooms have been nicely modernized, some are a bit outdated. We booked one of the modernized rooms on the 2nd floor. There are beautiful wooden elements everywhere, a small seating area, TV, coffee machine, safe, free WiFi, unfortunately no refrigerator, small shelf in the bathroom, floor-level shower, overall clean standard roomAccessibility:Not available everywhere -> be sure to clarify what is needed beforehand.Eat:Breakfast: Good standard breakfast, replenished upon request. / Next to the reception you will find a refrigerator from which you can help yourself all day for a fee.Staff:The hotel is run by a nice family who give good tips for excursion destinations. There are also a few friendly employees who take care of the rooms.Price-performance:2 people, 2 nights including breakfast, tourist tax and reduced entry to the thermal baths (p.p. €45.00) = €378.00Conclusion:The updated rooms are nice. Recommended for a few nights.

We made a reservation on the homepage in August, received a confirmation, including booking number etc. and then arrived. On the first day we were at the lake and then called that we would be a little later for the check-in. It turned out that the booking was not in the system, even though we had a PDF with all the information that the reservation had been booked. In any case, there was no room available and the employee kept saying that she didn't see our booking and read us various names and also the last name of the people who are currently in "our" room and their booking date. What was interesting was that this was of course after ours, i.e. the system had simply rejected our booking completely. The employee was not very helpful and constantly wanted to shift responsibility onto the booking system or the operating company. Apparently there was a significantly more expensive room from the following day, but that wasn't offered to us. At the end we only had a tip about where we could call. So we traveled around 300km to find out on site that our booking, which we had confirmed in black and white, did not exist. Luckily we found somewhere else to stay, which is not a given in August in Kochel. This would be disastrous for people with a longer journey or those who cannot spontaneously find an alternative, but even so, I and my personal environment will never book here again.In summary: booking not in the system, i.e. apparently incompetent data processing, hardly any data protection, as we were given various family names and booking details and no goodwill. Therefore only 1 star.
