I spent 5 days at Arenberg Monastery to recharge. It worked. From the receptionist to the service staff, everyone was very helpful and friendly. The food is absolutely amazing, great selection, lovingly prepared salads, homemade spreads, rich buffet in the morning and evening, choice between two dishes at lunch. Everything from fresh grain porridge to meat sausage. Many free offers such as morning dew treading, spiritual morning or evening impulses, Christian meditation, participation in masses in the motherhouse, conversations with a pastor. Quite affordable offers to choose from such as yoga, PMR, Chi Gong, aqua fitness, sauna, massages, great creative workshop (painting, designing). The very lovingly landscaped park with a herb and vegetable garden, apple trees, goats, meadows deserves special attention. There are always cozy places to linger with cozy benches, loungers, hidden corners with chairs or other comfortable seating. If you like, you can spend your stay in silence (quiet dining room, silence botton) or make contacts. Conclusion: If you want to recharge your soul, this is the place for you.

I was there for 4 days and felt very comfortable. The room was nice and clean, the food was very good, and the vitality center too. The swimming pool was perfect for swimming in the morning.I didn't like the meditation, I know differently. The autogenic training was relaxing.Otherwise, it doesn't come across as a monastery atmosphere, as this monastery is more modern and has been rebuilt and renovated. There is a very nice roof terrace to relax in and perhaps a great sunset in the evening. The area around it is very beautiful and invites you to go hiking. The most beautiful is the God's Park that I named. It lies sunk in the valley. All in all a nice stay.

My girlfriend and I stayed in the monastery for 4 days. The food is fantastic and my room was very nice. We had expected a little more from the stay, but were unfortunately disappointed. You feel like you're in a better youth hostel. Unfortunately, you didn't get the feeling of being in a monastery. Everything is very modern and has no flair. The guided meditation was simple and without depth, with singing from a tape in the very modern chapel. The self-service monastery cellar was impersonal and reminded us of a cafeteria. The swimming pool was also unfortunately unloving, the outdoor area with the loungers was not inviting and very unkempt. The nuns were very nice, but that didn't make the overall picture any better. It's a shame ☹️
