Erasing experience. Rooms too basic, no kettle, small, bad (thin) pillows. Also no information booklet in the room. Fantastic breakfast down the road in a restaurant. Couldn't park the car in the designated places (full). Location and surroundings are wonderful.

It was a great experience to spend the night in the guest house and enjoy this excellent breakfast. We slept very well and peacefully and felt very comfortable in the place with its bikes and hiking trails and great alleys and sights. Too bad it was only for one night.

The rooms are good for a hostelCommunication is less. You just have to figure out how to get in and where breakfast is (Gasthof Abteistrasse 65)Breakfast during the week from 7am, on weekends from 8amWe have seen many people searching.It would be useful if some information was already communicated in the confirmation and information about breakfast could be found on the blackboard in the hallway.

A cheap option to stay in this area for one night. The rooms are simply furnished. You shouldn't expect too much. The floor in the sleeping area is already very stressed and the walls need a new coat of paint. The bathroom is functional. In summer you sleep better on the first floor. One floor up, the rooms get very hot. There is only one mattress in the double room. If your partner moves, you sway in bed. We felt comfortable. On the ground floor there is a kitchen with a refrigerator that you can use. For a fee you can get self-service tea and coffee, and cold drinks in the entrance area. Breakfast is served in the Lindenhof restaurant, which is within walking distance. You can also have a good meal here in the evening. In addition to a sausage/cheese platter, you can also get jam, fruit, yoghurt, eggs or scrambled eggs, orange juice and coffee right at the table in the morning.

What a beautiful place this is to relax, wonderfully quiet and in the middle of nature.Take a short walk through a park before breakfast and your day will start well.The breakfast that is ready does everything well. Extensive and you can get extra things such as eggs and tea.Apartment is fine, large bathroom, next to the room a kitchen where you can make tea and coffee, there are marsjes and twixes to take with you.We enjoyed everything and had a lovely walk in nature.Highly recommended for everyone.

For people who are looking for peace and quiet. Top overnight stay in an old school location: with a monastic feel, but everything was ok. Abbey church right next door, and 600 meters further this mega super castle Sayn 😍🦋🦋🦋

Rooms are nice, breakfast was in a neighboring inn "Lindenhof". I would give 5 stars for breakfast and dinner, super tasty and filling. I'd love to come back.

How can I describe how wonderful this place is. Everything about this place is perfect; the peaceful location, the clinically clean facilities, the super friendly staff, ... and that amazing breakfast, which I expected to cost me a further €20, however, I was pleased to be informed that this was included.I found this place on Booking.com, late at night, while searching around Koblenz. I needed a single room for a good night sleep, ready for a 15hr journey back to UK, and this is exactly what I recieved. This hotel had a late check-in, up to 23.00, and although it's a journey out of the city, it was quite easy to find. There was also free parking here, with plenty of spaces (a key aspect).Most of the rooms are accessed via a staircase, but my room was on the ground floor, which made for very easy access, and although the wi-fi wasn't strong enough to reach this room, it didn't matter to me.

If you're looking for peace and quiet, this is the place for you. The abbey's guest house is located at the end of a valley and from here you can, if you like, go on hikes or see the town of Sayn itself, which is also worth seeing because of the castle and the park. The guest house is equipped with everything you need. The bathroom is small but big enough to do everything. People who are a little fuller will have a harder time.There is a drinks fridge in the foyer from which you can help yourself to whatever you feel like and then enter this into a list and pay for what you have consumed directly into the "coffee cash register" or in the restaurant. Here you can find everything from soft drinks, water, beer and wine. That made the guesthouse much more likeable for me.The guest house itself belongs to the "Lindenhof" restaurant, which also serves as a reception during the restaurant's opening hours. It is located about 500 meters from the guest house and also serves as the location for the truly fabulous and lovingly prepared breakfast. Thank you very much for that and that it was not “the usual” buffet, but was very richly laid out for every guest.Don't miss out on looking at the really beautiful church, it's well worth seeing.
