Restaurant review - not hotelUnfortunately, I was a little disappointed with my visit to the restaurant. Unfortunately the price/performance isn't really right. The service is fine, but unfortunately the food is not.I ordered a steak and got crab with it. You're certainly on the North Sea, but I don't think crabs belong with a steak. The crabs are not mentioned on the menu and were unfortunately included in the butter. Unfortunately, in my opinion, this ruined the court. However, the steak was great and the salad was well dressed.Unfortunately, I didn't feel comfortable in the restaurant either because the furnishings were uncomfortable (bench without backrest). I find this inappropriate for an upscale restaurant. The dishes are very expensive, which means I have to decide between 2 and 3 stars. Due to the high price, which is not in proportion to the dish received, I am sticking with a 2 star rating.

First of all: I am only rating the hotel here, i.e. rooms, service and the breakfast that comes with it.The location puts you in the middle of the town center at the old harbor, which of course means that you can see the "everyday life" that goes on around the hotel from 7 a.m. onwards. No, it's not loud, but if you open a window overnight like I did, you'll eventually hear something. But it didn't bother me at all. Close the window, it's quiet! The room was modern, comfortable and equipped with everything you need. The bathroom was small but extremely clean! And if you don't want to dance in there, it's easily enough for two people. For breakfast there is (in my opinion!) everything you need. Cold cuts etc. are served at the table on a tier, as are rolls, coffee/tea and orange juice. I read a comment here somewhere that only things that were not wanted/wanted were served on the Ă©tagĂ©re. Yes, that was the case for my first breakfast, but how is the service supposed to know what I have for breakfast in the morning? Talked about it briefly, done. And if you want a second egg, roll or whatever, raise your hand and run!Jams, muesli, bread and yoghurt are provided as a small buffet at the counter.Keyword egg: scrambled eggs, fried eggs or or boiled. You are asked and it is brought to the table. And be careful! The scrambled eggs are not salted. I had previously read in a comment "we had to salt the egg ourselves" đŸ€Š, sorry guys but I'd rather do the salt myself than subject myself to the "whims" of the kitchen đŸ€Ș Inside I almost died of laughter when I heard it At the first breakfast the unsalted egg was explicitly pointed out. Conclusion: the breakfast is great, the service is super nice, quick and always tries to please you as much as possible 👍Anything negative? No, absolutely nothing! The parking situation was brought up here and there. But it's a bit unfortunate at best and nothing that warrants tweaking the rating. Just take a look on site. From my point of view, the location of the hotel doesn't really work, as there are still 10 parking spaces to be conjured up. I counted 4 legal and 3 semi-legal parking spaces. I was lucky to get a semi-legal one and no one bothered with it for 4 days. There is a large free parking lot 200m from the hotel. All in all, I can absolutely recommend the Seventeen80 👍

Since we were in our holiday home, we tried the breakfast buffet for the first time today. It was very very tasty. And what we found really great was the super friendly service. I can only recommend it.

Anyone who eats here can enjoy high-class service and food. 1780 was the highlight of our day in Caroliensiel. Super nice and attentive service and really delicious food. The waitress made sure that nothing was missing with an attentive eye. The meal made us forget the rainy weather for a moment. Fresh, well prepared and the perfectly coordinated components... a feast!Thank you for a perfect visit to the restaurant!
