Positive: location, cleanliness, friendliness, comfortable beds, parking ticket for the whole day or even for the entire period (2.5 days) for 3.5 EUR/day in the entire community (the large parking lot behind the accommodation belongs to to a hotel), coffee is freshly prepared, fresh fried/scrambled eggs are available upon requestNegative: dull rooms or minimalist furnishings with little or hardly any storage space, there is no mirror, the only trash can in the bathroom had no bags, extremely poor soundproofing - a dog yelped/barked all evening in the basement, there were unidentifiable noises on the upper floor until late into the night, breakfast consisted mainly of discounter products and was almost empty 1 hour before the end or was not refilled, the rolls were very softConclusion: All in all, it was okay for a flophouse, it was very clean and the owners were extremely friendly. If you value peace and quiet and, above all, a good breakfast, you should skip it and go for breakfast locally or prefer another accommodation.

We could park our motorcycles on the private property.Great service, good clean rooms, great breakfast with extra's like fleisch and pasta salade, meatballs and default for everyone a fresh baked egg.Great.Prices on the terras are good.Clean glasses nice beers.Only be prepaired to be awakend at 07.00 by the church bells.The whole town is awake at 7. :-)The guys do not serve lunch or diner.But 20m further you have the best restaurant.Great place to stay and go walking, biking or motorcycle.Thanks Marcel & Henri.Very nice talking to you.

"The early bird catches the worm". If you live by this motto, the hotel and especially room number 4 are perfect for you. I can understand the many positive reviews. We had booked four nights and wanted to spend our first vacation of the year here in peace and quiet.Due to the single-glazed windows, the night's rest ends at 6 a.m., as you wake up for the first time from everyday events outside. But you'll definitely be awake during the week when the church bells ring at 7 a.m. This is followed by the banging and rumbling of the room doors, as the hallway is very reverberant and the wooden room doors cannot be opened and closed quietly.In principle we have overlooked these things and would have given 3 stars up to this point. Basically, we are always careful not to cause too much trouble and to leave everything tidy. The reason for the 1-star rating is as follows:Breakfast is from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Admittedly, on the second and third morning we didn't manage to finish breakfast on time and were 5 minutes overdue. This meant that we were hit on the third morning for this and our breakfast was abruptly ended as we were literally thrown out. We certainly wouldn't have objected to a friendly tip, especially since we were almost finished.Since we not only felt unrefreshed but also unwelcome from that point on, we decided to cancel our vacation and left early. When we left we were told that nothing could be done about the bill, which we didn't expect. For me personally, it was disappointing that not only was there no regret shown, but it almost seemed like leaving early was a given.I've been to a few hotels where things didn't always go smoothly. But I've never been treated like that before. As beautiful as the location and the half-timbered house itself is, we won't be coming here again. At least not with these owners, where friendliness ends as soon as you don't strictly adhere to the guidelines.

We booked two double rooms for 4 days.They were wonderful days in a lovely hotel, with absolutely lovely owners and a rich, delicious breakfast. The two very nice operators try very hard, have a sense of humor and are extremely concerned about the well-being of their guests.Highly recommended!!! We'll definitely be back!THANKS!!!

Worst exeperience ever!!!I’m a woman traveling solo and booked at this hotel but I was asked to leave because I reported that the room I got smelled of cigarette smoke. Since there was no other room to stay in I suggested a discount on the room, after which I was thrown out of the hotel “they didn’t want me there” because the report and my suggestion were “so rude”.So I was alone, with no room to stay in, in a village I didn’t know and it was already dark, an extremely bad experience. The way the owners reacted to my report was so ridiculous and so rude. It was the strangest conversation I ever had, in which the owners were even threatening to report me to booking, and finally throwing me out, because of a report of cigarette smoke.. 🤯Don’t stay here!

We had a nice one night stay at this hotel. The breakfast was very very good with quality products. The room had a nice view of the lake and the shower was very good water pressure. It’s an old building so is a bit dated but fine for a night or two. Very friendly hosts! A minus point for the strong smell of smoke when you come in.
