Yes, from neighbor to friend, that's what happened during our stay at Eifel retreat. Both shared their passion with us and in a free way. You have to experience it to understand it. The room, shower and breakfast are excellent.

Had a wonderful weekend in Egle and Leo's B&B. Beautiful location on a hill on the edge of the forest, where all kinds of game and birds can be seen in the garden. Idyllic breakfast on the terrace overlooking the valley. Nice room and super friendly hosts, highly recommended!

Our objective was to see several new butterflies in the Eifel in combination with a pleasant stay. These objectives have been achieved with a number of extras. The moth traps were a big bonus for us with many new species. Seeing raccoon and stone martens was also special. Room was fine and breakfast outside with redstart, bullfinch and identifying moths was ideal. You are nice, warm-hearted people and we wish you good luck with further plans in the Eifel. Will definitely come back. I hope the badgers will visit us in the coming years because we would like to see them again.Greetings Anke and Leon

I stayed here for a few nights in Erkensruhr with Leo and his girlfriend. It is a wonderful spot. The furnishings of the bedroom are made from old items that are given a new life. There are all kinds of insects in the garden. What is also very nice there is that they have a game viewing hut where in the evening you can sometimes see foxes, stone martens and raccoons, very nice. I also spent a few days in town with Leo looking for all kinds of insects. The environment is ideal for that. In the evening Leo set the moth trap so that we could see what was flying there in the morning, also very nice. Leo and his girlfriend do everything they can to make you feel comfortable. I'll definitely go back someday.
