It's always nice to be here! Everyone feels welcome and at home from the first minute in the house, which is run with a lot of heart and located in the middle of the forest.Lasting memories are created here - while playing and running around, playing table football and soccer, working in the kitchen, baking bread around the campfire and eating together with a meal that everyone enjoys.Highly recommended!!

We booked the house for a weekend as self-catering. The communication in advance was friendly and clear, the handover of the house clarified all questions that could have arisen. The hot tub was an absolute hit and I would recommend everyone to book it. That and the covered grill saved the summer celebration despite the rain, so you also got your money's worth outside. The house is very lovingly and thoughtfully designed, the kitchen is very well equipped and can be used perfectly by many people. The room layout also allowed for the possibility of using single and double rooms, so that not everyone had to stay in rooms of eight. The option of having rolls delivered was very relaxing, as it takes about 10 minutes to drive to the next town and the rolls (especially grain rolls!) are super tasty.Overall, highly recommended!

We are still very enthusiastic about our stay at the Landhaus Hohenfried. The school trip, which we carried out with two fifth graders and four accompanying persons, was excellently planned by Andreas and Markus right from the start. The offer is perfectly tailored to the children and they learn so much more there than we had previously imagined.The careful treatment of nature, the appreciation of food and the sense of community manifested itself for the children in just 2.5 days in such a way that we can hardly believe it ourselves.We would come back at any time!

We stayed there for 5 days as part of an FSJ seminar and I really enjoyed it, especially compliments to the kitchen team for the wonderful hospitality and delicious food and also to the gentlemen of the house for their competence and hospitality.The location is great, "a little hidden" but still easy to reach by car or bus. The only point of criticism is that the number of showers is not in proportion to the number of beds (2-3 showers per gender) and the other point is that the beds are designed more for small people or school children. But it would be definitely recommend

Aside from rather hard beds and mattresses (and that’s a personal preference), I can’t really say anything bad about this place. The location on top of the hill in the forest is fantastic, you can do loud activities downstairs that nobody hears upstairs, the kitchen is outfitted to feed a legion, the place is clean, and there is a lovely fireplace with a roof outside that is a nice gathering place, even when it’s cold or if it rains. On top of that, the owners are very friendly.

This really is a great house for large groups! And especially suitable for children.- Large rooms- Due to the good insulating doors, there is never any noise in the bedrooms. Not even when there is loud music downstairs.- Fully equipped industrial kitchen- Hygiene is excellent. Clean showers and toilets, sufficient rubbish bins in every room, ...- The building is located at the end of a dead-end street that borders a nature reserve. So no cars pass by. You can let the children play outside without supervision- Sit outside by the campfire!- Friendly and correct manager/host who also responds quickly to emails- Many activities possible nearby- The common room is even equipped with disco lighting for small parties :-)The only minor point of criticism is that the mattresses are mainly suitable for children. They are a bit thin. My back hurt a little in the morning. But certainly not too bad.Definitely recommended!

We really liked the accommodation (as young teachers we were there with our classes for the first time), the food was incredibly tasty (one child said straight away at their first lunch: “It's like a holiday here”). Markus' suggestions for the evening (after the hike) were really great, we simply had an unforgettable time at the Landhaus Hohenfried and will definitely come back with other school classes!

15 adults and 14 children had the time of their lives. The sturdy fire doors made it nice and quiet upstairs in the rooms while the children had fun downstairs. Fantastic kitchen with lots of facilities to quickly put a meal on the table. Great campfire and play area outside. Clean and tidy. Beds are comfortable enough for such a cottage. Do bring your own pillows, they are not hotel quality. We will definitely be back next year. Highly recommended.

We spent very nice days with the family as self-caterers in the Landhaus Hohenfried with around 40 people on the Easter weekend. The house offers a covered barbecue area, a separate playhouse including an XXL table football and table tennis table, where we all had a lot of fun. Some of us chilled in the mobile sauna and hot tub that we had booked separately. The house is located in the middle of the forest and the excursion options are varied (Rursee, summer toboggan run, Vogelsang, boat trip and many hiking trails in the Eifel National Park)The hosts Markus and Andreas Kruff were always available and very friendly. We all felt very comfortable.A small point deduction: the bunk beds in the shared rooms are not designed for adults

We were there as part of a rehearsal weekend with our choir from 8th to 10th. March 2024 with around 40 people for the first time at the Landhaus Hohenfried and were really completely thrilled. It was very important for us to find a location where we could be alone as a group in order to be able to combine effective rehearsals and evening socializing. The idyllic location of the Hohenfried country house in the middle of a forest area also contributed to this to a large extent. In particular, the renovated and enlarged rehearsal room was ideal for our needs as a choir.The rooms met our expectations (there are multiple beds as well as some single and double rooms) and the cleanliness of the house and the sanitary facilities is really exemplary.We had booked an “all-round, worry-free package” for our group with late check-out on Sunday, water flat rate, etc. and special requests and intolerances regarding meals were also taken into account in a completely flexible manner.A huge thank you goes to the entire service team, especially the two property managers Markus and Andreas Kruff. We were there for 5 days with 60 people and overall we were very satisfied. The country house is very well maintained, clean and cozy.It is somewhat remote and there is parking available right in front of the door.Communication and coordination with the owners was very good, including:- transparency,- friendly approach- timely response to emails/questions,- Detailed introduction to the self-catering kitchen.We were there during the Christmas period and were told that we could still call the owners at any time, even at night in case of emergencies. (E.g.: when the toilet paper ran out, there was an immediate supply.)Thank you!

The Landhaus Hohenfried is beautifully located, in the middle of the hilly forest, with no cars or anything else disturbing anywhere. The children can run around and play freely. The two owners Markus and Andreas are super nice and helpful: When I asked Andreas about a jogging route, he said: That's too complicated to explain, I'll run with you! The whole team is really friendly, helpful and kind of cool (my opinion). They have all rebuilt the country house together with great attention to detail and are looking after it. You can tell that this little treasure is owner-managed and is looked after by a team that loves Landhaus Hohenfried and the idea of hospitality. We were there for the second time with several families (works very well with hygiene regulations even in Corona times!) and will be back! Many thanks to the whole team!

We spent a self-catering weekend with our orchestra at the Landhaus Hohenfried and felt completely at home.The contact with Andreas and Markus was always very friendly and great from start to finish. There was nothing missing in the house. The grill hut was the meeting place for everyone every evening. The use of the hot tub is only recommended. The landscape and surrounding area has a lot to offer.

We spent 3 days with 2 school classes at the Landhaus Hohenfried and can highly recommend it. The house is modernly furnished, with the children's rooms being functional and the teachers' area comfortably furnished. There is a nice dining room and a lounge with great lighting and music for a disco. The outdoor area with table football and table tennis hall is great for the children to play! Everyone really enjoyed the fresh food! Markus and Andreas were great hosts and made our stay very pleasant! Thank you!

A great house! Due to the isolation, you can be very relaxed when accompanying school classes and let the children run around. The area is ideal for playing, running around, building a campfire and hiking. The rooms for the students are functional, but completely ok. Some of the rooms for the accompaniment have already been renovated and lovingly furnished. The food is delicious. Dinner is a bit unusual: soup with baguettes is not that common for children.The service is great, companions are well looked after.Thanks for everything and we'll be happy to come back.
