We have now vacationed at Ferienhof Schmidt twice, once in the summer and now again in the fall.We think it's great and can fully recommend the stay for families with children. The booking was uncomplicated by email, there is a very nice briefing and tour on site by Monika, who usually looks after the guests and is always there for you. You can move freely around the farm and see everything and experience it up close. The play barn, the pigs and the horses were the highlights here for our four-year-old, but there is also a pack of Jack Russell farm dogs and of course the cows and cattle in the stable and on the pasture. We were able to easily arrange riding lessons with riding instructor Sabine in person or by telephone and she took care of our daughter sensitively and humorously and introduced her to riding and dealing with horses. The play barn has balance bikes, carts, pedal tractors, scooters and handcarts as well as table football and a table tennis table, as well as a great multi-story, solidly timbered climbing labyrinth with a slide, many parts of which are more suitable for older children (from 6-7?).The apartment we booked was rustic, very cozy and clean, with a bathroom with shower, cable TV and reliable WiFi. If you want to spend time on a holiday farm, you obviously shouldn't expect hotel service: you're self-catering, but there are lots of great amenities such as a kitchenette in every apartment, a large kitchen that can be used by all guests, lounges, and the possibility of a washing machine and dryer to use, and if desired, fresh milk, eggs and other products every day that you can also find in a farm shop. In addition, each family receives a jar of homemade jam and can pick flowers for a bouquet free of charge from the flower field on the farm.In short: we felt very comfortable, were warmly welcomed, and we will definitely come back.

Very nice farm, with attention to detail and super nice people.I had booked a week's holiday with my partner, unfortunately not necessarily for young adults, more for children. After one day you have seen everything. Really very nice farm and lovely care (homemade cake/jam delivered to the room). We were looking forward to the horses, but unfortunately we were brushed off by the riding instructor who was a bit unfriendly in our contact. It's a shame because riding was the reason we were there.

We have been coming to Ferienhof Schmidt in Tütingen for many years and look forward to a lovely week there every year. The farm is very well maintained, varied and very well equipped. There are very nice lounges, a play barn for children and a cowshed, so there is always something to do. But you can also just sit on the courtyard bench and watch what goes on there. Martin Schmidt, the boss on the farm, is always friendly and ready to talk to the guests. We know that many guests come back again and again, which definitely speaks for their satisfaction. The area is very beautiful, slightly hilly and ideal for cycling, for example. We can highly recommend the farm for a short or long stay.

We were there over the weekend with the family. A beautiful farm with lots of space and play opportunities for the children. The rooms are quite simple but still have everything you need. Our room was very clean. The children particularly liked the animals and the play barn. All in all we spent a lovely weekend there. Recommended for families with children.

Great atmosphere, very nice farm for "holidays on the farm" with children (play barn, lots of bobby cars, balance bikes, small bicycles, table tennis, etc.); very nice staff, everything clean and tidy. Top!

We spent 2 nights at Ferienhof Schmidt and were pleasantly surprised at how much attention to detail our Meisenstübchen was furnished with. Now we particularly like the well-preserved, partly antique farm furniture in harmony with suitable conversions and fittings (e.g. loft bed) in a well-renovated holiday apartment. We liked it much better than the modern and impersonal hotel rooms we usually stay in. We were also very impressed by the beautifully landscaped garden and the entire property with its animals and surrounding meadows and pastures. The proximity to the road wasn't a problem because there was hardly any traffic. We were just as happy about the individual breakfast with home-baked rolls, scrambled eggs, etc. as we were about a nice chat with the operating family. We would like to come back here again.
