We held a large conference in the hotel and were totally thrilled. From the first contact to the end of the conference, the service was excellent. There was always a contact person who took care of everything immediately and everyone was very friendly and committed. All guests also really liked the furnishings of the hotel and the rooms and the food was excellent. We can only warmly recommend a visit to the Hotel Stratmanns.

Unfortunately I didn't stay at this hotel because I had a stomach bug the night before I arrived. I am appalled by the lack of kindness, humanity and goodwill. I called in the morning and asked if they could sublet the room (for one night) and/or if they wouldn't charge me anything as a gesture of goodwill. The hotel was completely booked, as I had been told the day before. I was treated coldly and dismissively (not even a “get well soon”) and was immediately sent an invoice with the full no-show price. Six days later a payment reminder.Dear Mr. and Mrs. Strathmann, your hotel seems to be doing well, but of course you won't make any friends that way. How could we now want to book with you again or recommend the hotel? The warmth was already missing during the booking phone call and continued until the bad end.

I stay here every year. Clean, great staff, good food (The restaurant is popular in the area) and comfortable rooms. Heated bathroom floors and towel racks are a nice bonus during cold months.

Wow, that was really tasty. We rarely go to restaurants, but there are really professionals at work in the kitchen and the service is also very nice, professional, unobtrusive and competent. Everything tastes great and looks great. Deserved 5 stars!Update 10/2023: Everything is still just as good

A hotel stay whose ambience, instead of exuding a sublime atmosphere of exquisiteness and sophistication, revealed an almost insulting aesthetic deficit.From the reception area to the corridors, purple seemed to be the predominant color. The curtains, armchairs and sofas in this opulent hue created a real aura that overwhelmed my eyes and mind in equal measure. The dark purple of the upholstered furniture in my room was so intense that it almost took my breath away.Lila's dramatic presence continued in the details, which seemed to have no restraint whatsoever. Even the napkins and curtains seemed to pay unconditional homage to this color.It was as if a passionate lover of the color had taken over the interior and, in a feverish fit of obsession, had pushed all interior design boundaries.The morbid sight of those carpets spread out beneath my feet gave me an uneasy feeling of unease that accompanied my every step and made my thoughts revolve around the hygiene of the place.May this description serve as a warning example that restraint and the harmonious interplay of colors are of the utmost importance in the art of interior design.

Clean rooms...Good food...recommended for festive celebrations of all kinds. Breakfast was good.Update August 27, 2023We have now stayed in the house several times.Today we were almost horrified by the service at breakfast.The table was set but still dirty.No glasses, only on request! The buffet was basically cleared away at 9:45 a.m. Breakfast lasts until 10:30 a.m.!When I asked if something else would be added, there was hardly any response. When I asked to get a boiled egg, I was told that it was no longer worth cooking because it would take too much time.The plates were empty!I don't know anything like that from Stratmann! Despite repeated requests, there was hardly any response.For me, a proper breakfast is absolutely essential, not just from 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. but also for the times specified.That was bad! What a shame!

Fish dish for 20€… that's more expensive in other restaurants. Where's the catch? Not in the taste (it was super tasty) no, in the quantity. (We are not in an upscale star restaurant here) 3 carrots and some puree were laid out very clearly next to the small zander. It's a shame, that wasn't enough.Eaten in 5 minutes...Staff very attentive and friendly
