The hotel has beautiful rooms and a fantastic location. The staff are extremely friendly.Unfortunately the restaurant can't keep up. Price alone does not constitute nouvelle cuisine. We had a starter soup made from a bouillon cube with a filling. The wild boar goulash was chewy and very simply prepared. The dessert, vanilla ice cream with hot raspberries, was very simply prepared and the raspberries were lukewarm. Tip to the “cook” you can thicken the sauce with a little starch. The meal for two people cost €104.50, which was not worth it at all.

I would like to rate the restaurant.A very courteous service. We got a nice window seat. We ordered from the hot stone. The meat was good and so were the side dishes. It was plentiful. The ambience in medieval style, very cozy.We were told there are new owners (9 months). Please ignore the old negative reviews! The hotel room (suite) is very nice.We were warmly welcomed.Unfortunately, there is no elevator, which people with walking difficulties should know.A beautiful and well-kept outdoor area frames the castle hotel.

We have been here several times now to enjoy the atmosphere. The castle simply belongs to Obrigheim. The new tenant makes great food and the service does a great job. The cocktails invite you to end the summer evening on the terrace.

I booked for one night and am so impressed that I have to write a review for the first time.David - my receptionist, waiter, travel planner and bartender all in one - welcomed me very friendly and showed me to my room. He said every room has its own style, the style of my room fit like a glove. Very spacious, very bright and a breathtaking view - but good, after all you are in a castle. But I'm just starting now with what made a lasting impression on me:I checked in relatively early (around 3 p.m.) and was able to watch the hustle and bustle and the good guy really had a lot to do. But he responded to every request, every request and every extra sausage with a friendliness that struck me as refreshingly honest and pleasant. Even in the most stressful evening business, he took the time to show me on Google Maps where I could best park and walk.Although there were probably a good 30 people sitting in the restaurant at the time, I could observe how not a single drink - be it a beer or a Frozen Castle (definitely drink it if you're here!!) - took longer than 10 minutes to arrive. The food was really great too. The Hot Stone Dining is particularly worth a visit!Back to David. When I arrived back at night (around 12/1) and was completely soaked due to the bad weather, I asked him if there was somewhere else to eat to warm up, maybe some soup. Even though the kitchen had already been closed for three hours at that point, he immediately went behind the stove and brought me some soup. What else can I say? Next morning, I come to breakfast - who welcomes me with an incredibly pleasant, non-feigned smile? David. After he probably wasn't in bed until 4 or 5 and I went to breakfast at 10:30.I could go on like this forever.A summary? The castle, with this kitchen & this staff (I also got to know some of the other members of the team) and especially this David are one, if not THE highlight of my travels so far. I am deeply impressed.Chapeau.tJust keep it up.See you soon at Neuburg Castle! I'll be back.
