Everything is beautifully decorated and the surroundings are wonderfully peaceful, but unfortunately you don't feel welcome here. Most of the staff are unfriendly and don't seem to enjoy their work at all. You feel like you have to apologize for wanting to be a guest here. You are greeted at dinner with “It took longer?” or “But you didn’t make a reservation”. Afterwards you are asked whether you have signed the invoice (you could just as easily have shouted “Are you cheating on the bill?”) instead of making sure beforehand that this had actually already been done and, even if not, should have been done In a real 4-star hotel, the guest is discreetly asked the next morning or when checking out to sign the invoice later. Such things could be listed more now. Unfortunately, hardly anyone here knows the basics of politeness. Food and drinks are mixed, there is no minibar.

The hotel is in a very quiet location, the rooms are nice and clean. Unfortunately there is no refrigerator. Air conditioning is also not available, which is a shame because the staff and service are unfriendly. You don't feel welcome as a guest, big compliments to the caretaker, very friendly, very helpful. We wanted to have a coffee on the terrace, but unfortunately we weren't served. The service always passed us by, even though there were only a few tables occupied. I don't think that's okay.

We stopped here for lunch while on a paddling tour. The food was tasty. The only problem was the schnitzel...a really very thin schnitzel with a lot of breading... The breading was unbelievably 3x thicker than the schnitzel itself and at 23 euros it was really steep. All other dishes were also very expensive... Quark with potatoes 15.50 euros...The location is great, the service staff was okay, there is definitely room for improvement.

A hotel quietly located on an arm of the Spree. Friendly staff, excellent food, not cheap but worth the price. You can relax here, rent a canoe or go for a walk. Unfortunately, there is no charging station for electric cars, which should be standard in this price range. Nevertheless, absolute recommendation.

The mattress was sagging and had to be complained about so that new mattresses could be put in the bed. No apology or other response from the hotel. That's bitter for a 4 star hotel

If you like it quiet, upscale and extremely friendly, this is the place for you! Great house, nice rooms, fast WiFi, large modern Smart TVs. Work and video meetings possible anywhere. Incredibly motivated, young and friendly team in the restaurant! Food very good! Reception at the reception was very nice and friendly! So a hotel stay is perfect. Thanks!

We were very happy with everything.Great from breakfast, dinner, rooms and staff.Very quiet location and that was great and also very ideal with a dog.Own boat dock at the hotel and you should definitely go on a canoe trip.

After some searching for the right starting point for us in the Spreewald, we landed in the small harbor of Neu Zauche. There we met a very nice gentleman, as it later turned out, he was, among other things, the forester and a canoe helmsman. Unfortunately his canoe was already full, so he suggested a hiking rod. Which we then took advantage of through the beautiful nature, which invited us to paddle, hike and relax.Our route took us on foot from Neu Zauche to the Waldhotel Eiche, approx. 3.6 km. There we treated ourselves to a wonderful lunch (unfortunately we forgot to take a photo) with super friendly service. The cuisine and service there is worth more than 5 stars. The hotel is located directly on the Nordfließ river and invites you to stay for a longer period of time. We will definitely come back next year, also with an overnight stay and a canoe tour.

Very idyllic hotel located directly on a Spree canal in a very spacious complex with a pavilion and lots of outdoor seating.You definitely need a car to cover the route from the castle to the hotel (approx. 10 minutes), at the end on the well-known GDR record paths.Boats and bicycles can be rented directly from the hotel.In the evening, the bar invites you to have a nightcap.A charging station for electric cars would be niceI wasn't entirely happy with the breakfast offerings, but that's not the deciding factor here.

Anyone looking for the peace and relaxation of the Spreewald will get their money's worth here. Modern and stylishly furnished. Our room didn't have a balcony, but we were impressed by its size and ambience. As part of the half board we were treated to a large selection at the breakfast buffet. The menu in the evening was also varied, fresh and delicious. We were also very positively surprised by the staff. Great team!Only note! When there was a closed event in the house, you couldn't order anything in the restaurant as a house guest in the afternoon.We would love to come back...

Spend the night in the “Oak” again after a long time. The location is perfect for those seeking peace and quiet. However, the paths to localities etc. are dictated by the only access road... by the way, be careful here, the last few meters are still a paved road and it's not getting any better. The hotel offers the option of renting paddle boats and starting a small or larger tour directly behind the hotel. The rooms are nicely furnished and clean. In the summer, however, they are warmed up, so the small propeller on the bed doesn't help much. It would also be helpful if there was protection in front of the windows, as it would keep out a lot of mosquitoes etc. The only downside is the very weak WiFi as there is almost no cell phone network. Especially if you rely on it for work, it is very weak. But all in all fine.

I haven't experienced such friendly service in a long time! No matter whether in the restaurant or in the hotel, we felt completely at home!The breakfast buffet left nothing to be desired and both the lunch menu and the evening menu offered very good local cuisine. The rooms are not up to date, but you can really feel comfortable.

Unfortunately the price-performance ratio is not rightWe spent two nights here for my birthday. Unfortunately, most of the service staff were very unfriendly and the birthday table decorations were forgotten. The food was good, but the drinks were overpriced. It is unclear where the four stars come from.Renting a canoe, on the other hand, worked perfectly and the location in the middle of nature was beautiful.
