The room with the personal sauna is fantastic. Bathroom is not ideally configured and very low water pressure. Check-in and out was efficient and staff is very nice.Dinner at Maki Dan used to be a highlight for me in this hotel. In the last 2 years since I ate here for the last time, this has drastically changed. Food is now conventional and nothing special anymore. Not even super flavorsome, just very rustic and ordinary presented. Next time I wouldn’t eat here anymore and just book the room and spa. Dinner was served in the restaurant that also hosts breakfast. In the evening that room lacks the same atmosphere compared to Ritter Stube. It was pretty cold in there too. We waited a long time for some of the food and had 4 different waiters/waitresses. All were a bit uncoordinated all over the shop. Tables are standing too close together and there is no privacy from the people dining next to you.

Lovely hotel and location! Absolutely amazing restaurant and food was exceptional from the 4 course menu and service from the water Freaser was unreal, taking time to explain the food and really built an amazing culinary experience with wine and local schnapps!!Our stay was sadly spoiled by the young receptionist and the lackluster welcome, welcome drink that was vaguely offered and not seen through, not a single bit of information given on the local area or hotel and what it has to offer even information on breakfast or check out times etc… every question followed by excuses that she was new and didn’t know and couldn’t help. The frosty reception was further reconfirmed in the morning, everything was too much trouble with the same receptionist, made to feel unwelcome and unimportant as they have a large group coming the following day. An empty car park was also aparently to much trouble for my wot keep my car there until 11am was the final straw. Made a direct complaint and still a display of unwelcomeness and lack of even an apology.
