The road to the hotel was breathtaking.And the view from the balcony was very beautiful.The staff was very kind and we really enjoyed our stay at the hotel.There was a small river pool next to the hotel.We really liked it and we would definitely recommend it.

We had a great stay at Hotel Kalikutt. We arrived with our dog, and the service we received was very warm and exceptional. The restaurant is very cozy, you feel comfortable right away, and dogs are welcome. The food and cuisine are excellent. We rarely had such full bellies. The junior suite is highly recommended. You can hear birds chirping and the sound of the creek. The landscape, the forests, and the meadows are simply wonderful. We will definitely come back, and next time with the motorcycle.

During our motorcycle trip to Austria, we made a stop at the Kalikutt Hotel to refresh and rest. The owner was very friendly, and it was fairly quiet and peaceful at the hotel at that moment (around mid September). We found it very unfortunate that the restaurant was not open the day we arrived, but the personell need their rest as well. However, the owner could recommend us some restaurants in the neighbourhood. The owner called the restaurant to make a reservation, and told them we were on our way. When we were getting ready to drive to the restaurant with our motorcycles, a storm started, with lots of rain. As we were prepared and had special clothing to withstand the rain during riding, the owner drove his car to the parking lot and told us we could drive to the restaurant with his car.We were truly very grateful and will never forget this kind gesture.Many thanks again!

Pricy and not too much choice of dishes on offer. Rather simple meals.If you are not into french fries or spätzle as side dishes, you are out of luck.One dish of wild game, not specified what kind of game.Good quality though, and well trained and competent staff.The interior looked as it did some twenty years ago, but everything was very clean and well maintained.Beautiful vista from our window table.

Hotel is situated close to top of hill, with stunning views of surrounding Schwarzwald. The welcoming and cosy atmosphere, traditional decorations, comfortable seating spaces, with glorious balcony views all adds to the relaxing ambience. Staff are friendly and helpful.Breakfast spread was amazing 🍉🍎🥐🥓 - smoked trout and salmon, hams, sausages, cheese and fruit selection. Personally loved the Bircher Muesli - simple but wholesome. Forested walking areas situated 5 min walk away, take in that fresh mountain air 🌳 🌲 some uphill climbs are perfect to work up appetite.Rooms were clean, well equipped and had mini bar. There was a sauna and cold bath facilities. Reasonably priced at €80 for single room with balcony. Highly recommended

We arrived around 8.45 due to a delay with the airline, waited patiently at reception to eventually be met by the kitchen staff and given a key. Dinner had finished 15 mins earlier and there was no offer of trying to accommodate us.|Room was comfortable breakfast was a delight and a gorgeous location. ||
