We loved this place. The owner is very friendly and will tell you about places of interest you have to visit in Bayerischer Wald. He will also give you an AktivCard which saves you a lot of money while visiting nice places around. The Gasthaus is very good equipped with toys for kids outside and in dinning area ;)

Super friendly people, good food and beautiful surroundings (unfortunately ruined by the excessive use of solar panels by the townspeople). Having bought into the climate change scare is a plus, so you can deal with the toilet which punishes you for using the entire tank to flush your deuce. I needed additional flushes (because of the good food) and it made me wait and wait and wait.Also, when you go in the summertime, BYO bedsheets: The synthetics they deliver refuse to absorb any moisture resulting in a hot sticky mess.

I had booked an overnight stay here.Short:Room perfect, huge for one person, although it was a double room, lovingly furnished.Food and drinks: Great, since I was cycling, I ate two dishes, both very great home cooking, drinks prices were very fairBreakfast: Great and very plentifulLocation: a bit lonely, but was very welcome for meClear recommendation for hikers and cyclists, but of course also for everyone else

It's rare to meet such kind-hearted people!!! 💖 Our apartment was really great, everything was super clean and our dogs weren't a problem either. Great breakfast and excellent food 😋 and now I have to stop, otherwise we won't get a place next year 😉 thank you very much again for everything. Simone and Hilde

Good inn, nice people, very friendly.The four of us stopped here and ate and drank deliciously. However, we didn't spend the night.The food was freshly prepared and everything tasted good. The service was super friendly, attentive to the children and had a humorous saying here and there. The waiting time was completely fine, the selection on the menu isn't very extensive, but it was completely suitable for us.The inn has seating both outside (including shade) and inside.

We would definitely use the garden houses again for an overnight stay while in transit. Not luxury, but functional, clean and kept in order. The landlord is very helpful and attentive. Price-performance ratio absolutely fine. If you have time after your arrival and are looking for a highlight, especially for the children, you should visit the adventure pool in Schönberg when the weather is good. Very well maintained, family run, apart from us only 3 grannies and our children, the water slide was turned on while I enjoyed a latte macchiato.
