Wonderfully peaceful and welcoming! My girlfriend and I stayed an excellent few days there while exploring the Bavarian forest.The rooms are quite dated - all the furniture seems like it's been there for at least a decade but we found that very charming and everything is clean and tidy.The service was excellent! The people tending to the place were always friendly and we never had any problems.There is a little fridge full of beers you can just take from and you are expected to write down how many you've taken yourself, paying fair prices at check-out. It's a small thing but it just brought home the small-town appeal of the place.Public transport to and from the place isn't great - bus stops are a 10-15 min walk away but if you've come to the Bavarian forest, you've probably come there to walk anyway, so I don't see that as a big problem. Also your stay at the hotel automatically means you can use the local buses for FREE (with a card you get from the pension)!The breakfast was something we found enjoying thoroughly - simple but nutritious and filling.In general the place's biggest appeal is the peace and quiet - if that is what you're looking for then I highly recommend it.

I stayed here for one night on my Goldsteig hike.The guesthouse is a bit older, but very comfortable and clean!The location is a dream - easily accessible (at least on foot ;-)) and the peace and quiet in the forest is not a false promise.The owners are a little older, but they try hard and take care of you lovingly.The breakfast was manageable but good.All in all, an absolute recommendation for the price!

The guesthouse is getting old, and of course the friendly guesthouse couple are too. The rooms are clean. Anyone looking for relaxation will find it here. The prices are top.

This guest house has rooms for a small price with breakfast. The rooms are of the usual size and, as with many guesthouses in Bavaria, the furnishings are from a recent date. The room was clean, the bed had a mattress that was not super soft, but could have been a bit harder in my opinion. Breakfast was good enough for me. Don't expect a 5 star room and/or breakfast for a small price. As far as I'm concerned, you get what you pay for.

Modest guesthouse located on the edge of the forest overlooking a large green space, very quiet and away from noise. Good breakfast and convenient and safe parking. Room equipped as described, a nice balcony, very clean, bathroom linen changed every day.I stayed 4 days spending time photographing at the Tierfreigelande.The owner Elisabeth is very kind and thoughtful. I will definitely return in the spring. Highly recommended if you don't have big expectations.

A great hotel. Waldesruhe!!!! Exactly! Super friendly service. Nice rooms. Wonderful breakfast buffet. Great kitchen in the evening... first class. Have dinner on the terrace. Super big map. You can feel comfortable and relax there. Hiking in the area... Logical... Cross-country skiing in winter

The house is clearly showing its age. The photos on the internet no longer reflect the current condition.We were probably in the same room as my previous writer. The mini tube TV with the satellite receiver belongs in the museum. This also applies to curtains and bed linen. I can also confirm that the room smells damp and musty.

Very nice and friendly hosts, perfect location right next to the Bavarian Forest, it couldn't be any closer. Great services for the price, very clean rooms, delicious, extensive breakfast buffet with excellent coffee. Would come again at any time.
