Contacted at relatively short notice, easy to reach by phone. Due to a lack of free private accommodation, we walked further than planned and arrived 5 minutes late. Maybe that's why it was questioned. Being assigned a lounger even though there was still a free bed in a room. All in all, a place to sleep with a roof over your head, everything you need available and clean. Nice encounters with other guests. Overall a good thing about this hostel.

The pilgrim hostel is on the top floor of an old building, rustic. But: “Pilgrims are welcome” is a foreign word. I experienced an unfriendly, suspicious and niggardly manager: when I asked for a replacement roll of toilet paper (there were three of us) I was accused of wanting to steal the paper. Electricity is allocated, and once you have used the amount you are given, you are left in the dark.I had to sleep on the mattress (there was probably another room with beds, but it was locked), the sheet had seen better days - or alternatively on an old narrow sofa - without a cushion. There are no blankets (in case it gets too cold and the sleeping bag is not enough - the heating is with electricity - and that may not be enough). It's nice that there is a pilgrim hostel at all, but the comfort can still be improved.

Had a lovely stay in the pilgrim hostel from June 5th to 6th, 2022. Went for a hike on the Green Belt, the hostel was clean and well equipped. The employee was always available via the hostel cell phone and was also helpful and friendly. Always my pleasure!

Unfortunately, this hostel is only available with a pilgrim ID card 😪The sleeping bag should be with you.
