Very unfriendly reception and a snippy response to a friendly request for a quiet room. I was then assigned a room above the noisy ventilation shaft, and when I asked, I was given a much smaller room with less facilities, with the comment that it was in the same price category... Overall, very unpleasant , I won't come back, Astrid from Bonn

We attended a wedding reception here. The rooms are very suitable for a smaller group of 20-25 people. The food was great. The restaurant is very finely and elegantly furnished. Very original.We were able to connect to the built-in system via Bluetooth and make our own music. There is also enough space for dancing.There is free parking on the farm.All in all a great celebration in a very nice location.

I have been a frequent guest over the last 12 years and have NEVER been disappointed. Big praise to the entire Schmiedgasthaus. Yesterday, October 3rd, 2024, we had the best duck we have eaten so far. Simply excellent. And before that, beef sashimi and venison vitello tonnato. Also top class

We enjoyed coming here both as a couple staying overnight and as a hiking group. You can feel that this is a family-run hotel and restaurant. All of our wishes were fulfilled to our complete satisfaction, we would be happy to come back. This house is worth visiting. For this great service you are happy to accept a longer journey!

We were in the region on business and were looking for short-term accommodation. We were given a room in a very spontaneous and friendly manner. The room facilities are of a good standard. Everything is very well maintained and clean. The food, especially the dinner, absolutely exceeded our expectations. 5 star level. (Had the best truffle fries in a long time.) Overall you can feel the love with which this hotel is run. Very clear recommendation.

Beautifully located hotel with an appealing atmosphere, in a small village. I can't say anything about the restaurant as it was closed during my stay. Room facilities good. Friendly and attentive service. Very good breakfast.

Almost 5 stars for the food, 1 to 2 stars for the prices. Asparagus soup, where only leftovers are used, must cost almost 9 euros. It was often there before, everything was very tasty, but it has become too expensive. It's a shame

At the beginning of my culinary career, I started following the goings-on at the Schmiedgasthaus. Back then, gourmets from Hanover came to Bad Nenndorf.It has long been my goal to appear there as a guest.Today, almost 30 years later, I finally did it.The day before we were guests at the hotel. Here we had room 31, which we really liked. The accompanying breakfast was excellent. We didn't miss anything here.In the “August” restaurant we had asparagus with loup de mer and hollondaise. It was simply magnificent with a strong French influence. Our desserts were creme brulee and rhubarb, which we enjoyed very much. The accompanying wines went well and were exactly to our taste.Summary of the evening: it was a feast for all the senses. In my opinion a bit too expensive and a bit overrated restaurant. Home-style cuisine that should actually be standard with a good selection of wines and good service (even if not optimally attentive) in a dignified atmosphere. The food was tasty and of good quality, but not exceptional and not particularly well prepared. Schnitzel a little too dark and sauce over a breaded schnitzel shouldn't really happen anymore. All in all a good restaurant, with good food but too expensive for what is on offer!

We always enjoy coming to the Schmiedegasthaus Gehrke for dinner. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very nice and you feel really comfortable. The food is always very tasty. The prices are definitely reasonable for the high quality. The menu is always appealing and varied. We particularly appreciate the always professional service of the entire team.
