A simply great hotel! Great service at reception and in the breakfast room. The room service is also very nice and clean. Parking spaces right in front of the door. Great breakfast. There is absolutely nothing to complain about.

We stayed at the Goldener Knopf 2 years ago and had a great stay. This time, however, we didn't like it so much. Instead of 3 nights, our stay was initially only booked for one night. Luckily they were still able to accommodate us. Unfortunately, our room was not cleaned well and was still quite dusty. For the price I also expect a certain standard. But the beds were comfortable and the location can't be beat.

We spent one night in this centrally located hotel and received a very friendly welcome. Check-in was easy, and we really liked the free coffee and tea in the entrance area. The room was small but nice and well-equipped, but so narrow that our stroller had to stand outside in the hallway - which luckily wasn't a problem. There was a wedding taking place at the hotel during our stay. The normal noise from partying guests wasn't a problem for us - but unfortunately our baby was woken up by sudden loud Guggen music at 9:30 p.m. (surprise for the bride and groom), which was actually playing right outside our window. Of course rather unfavorable with a baby. This unexpected disturbance of the peace was of course very annoying at that moment, which is why we spontaneously filled out a feedback form online. This was handled very professionally by the hotel: the manager apologized over the phone and responded very understandingly. The hotel itself knew nothing about this surprise. The breakfast, which we spontaneously booked in the morning, offered a large selection and was delicious. However, there was mold on the hummus. But that was immediately remedied. We found it particularly nice that we received a 50 euro voucher as an apology for the inconvenience. We thought full of anticipation: Perfect, that just pays for our breakfast. Unfortunately we couldn't use it for breakfast as it was only valid for the restaurant in the evening - which was quite disappointing when we checked out as we were already leaving that day.In summary, our stay was mixed: There were many positive aspects, but the noise disturbance and the rather disappointing handling of the voucher left a negative final impression.Next time we visit the city we would probably try a different hotel.

TODAY, SEPTEMBER 29, I WENT DOWN TO DINNER AND THE WAITRESS WAS VERY RUDE, OVERHEAD, SHE MADE US GET UP FROM A LARGE TABLE THAT WAS EMPTY, THEY STARTED SCREAMING AT US, TERRIFIED, SHE DIDN'T APOLOGIZE AND KEPT SCREAMING FROM THE KITCHEN, FINALLY, WE GOT UP AND MOVED TO THE TABLE, I WON'T COME BACK. FURTHER.

We were there for a wedding event and it was really great. We were able to celebrate extensively and everything was always taken care of. What actually stood out was the absolutely good service from the staff and they were all super friendly. So really great. The food was also great.

Booked breakfast at the hotel, but unfortunately disappointing.- Table must be cleared yourself- Sausage and cheese slices on a block from the pack are placed on the buffet.- Scrambled eggs or fried eggs available with an additional charge of €5.5- little selection of baked rolls+ Lemon cakeLocation in the hotel was great, getting to the parking lot through the pedestrian zone, free electric car charging possible at two parking spaces, the room had no air conditioning, just a table fan and it was warm in the room with the outside temperature at 35CWe had a view of the Rhine from the room (see picture)

I'm writing late, but I also wanted to share our experiencesWe stayed in the hotel for four nights in mid-June on the occasion of our silver wedding anniversary. We also stated this when booking.Unfortunately no attention, no piccolo or some fruit in the room.Especially since the room was really small, and the bed was about 1 m wide and the bathroom was also very small. On the first day we had pulled the blankets back quite a bit. That was probably enough for the maid.No beds were made, the bathroom was cleaned. On the last evening we asked if we could leave the car in the parking lot because we wouldn't drive home until the afternoon.Yes, it's no problem. After dinner we are spoken to at reception. We have to repark our car because of a cycling event, otherwise we won't be able to leave the old town again until the evening, the streets will be closed. This change within a very short period of time. The breakfast and dinner were good.Although dinner for men is relatively little. One evening there was no salad buffet because of a wedding.Just a relatively small salad plate. You weren't really full then.Although the food was always beautifully prepared. The days were OK, but we won't come a second time
