THIS DOES NOT WORK AT ALL!!!!!!Anyone who doesn't value a proper, comfortable bed is welcome hereand anyone who wants to listen to their neighbor, tooVery steep stairs with narrow steps to the ultra-small room at the top rightThe remote control for the tinny TV was brokenWe skipped breakfast straight away and left againReason:We weren't supposed to bring our little dog (yorkshire terrier baby) into the breakfast room, we were advised on the phone to leave him in the room :(Unfortunately not recommendedMy tip to the house:It's better to stop taking in dogs

Unfortunately the mattresses were too soft for my bad back. But everything else was great, thank you Andreas for the great hospitality. The rolls were very tasty, breakfast was enough for me until dinner because I ate way too much 🙈. I hope you enjoyed the tea and the book was interesting. We felt very comfortable. Greetings from Burgdorf/Hannover

I can't recommend the rooms to anyone, far too small with luggage and a dog, it's an absolute disgrace. I myself had room number. 5, which in my opinion also poses a safety risk for small children, as sockets are not properly attached to the plaster because the plaster is much too uneven. I don't want to imagine what would happen if a child or even an adult dropped a cup of water in that direction. Because it can run right behind the wall. And of course an electric shock can occur. There is no exhaust system installed in the bathroom and there is no window. This results in a lot of mold in the silicone and on the walls. If you're out and about longer in the evening, you'll be in for a treat. From around 11 p.m. there's only cold water. Showering then becomes shock therapy. Water is then no longer heated in the storage tank. Why this is done is a mystery to me, water should be permanently warm, that's a stupid cost saving and incomprehensible given the price you have to pay. Room 5 is downstairs next to the breakfast room. Which doesn't allow you to sleep longer as it can get very loud early on. And the door to the room lets every sound through. What else is very important! There is no refrigerator in any room, which is also underground, especially if you want to take medication or just have something cold to drink yourself, that becomes difficult. There is a mini fridge in the breakfast room but it is 80 percent full of drinks that you can buy, so there is very little space and there is never enough for everyone. And if something gets lost, the question of liability arises. By the way, I took drinks from the owner's fridge, which weren't exactly cheap, and I paid for them at the end of my holiday. But it's questionable why I didn't get a receipt for it?????? If you want to spend your vacation in the upper rooms (1-4), you should be aware that the stairs are very steep and are not recommended for older people or older dogs. It is also very difficult with a walker or stroller. It is advertised that parking spaces are available. But there are only two on the property itself. And there are two more in front of the house that are usually always occupied because everyone who is on vacation parks there, i.e. there are cars from other houses there too. If nothing is free, and that is often the case in the high season, then the landlord will offer you to park your car about 200 m away in a public parking lot. But be careful, you can't stand there for 24 hours, otherwise you'll get a ticket. The breakfast is too one-sided for a longer vacation. Personally, I can't recommend a vacation there.

It's crazy how these good reviews came about. My experience after a week is shocking. We registered with 3 dogs and it was all said to be no problem. When we arrived we were given a very small room, which was far too small for us and our three dogs. Then no refrigerator in the room, although a dog needs medication from the refrigerator. We were then offered a small refrigerator in the breakfast room, which was accessible to everyone. But even so, you might want to drink something cold during the day. Then there was a window in the bathroom that was still there but was bricked up from the outside. No other ventilation available, of course there is mold everywhere, even on the walls and floor tiles. In the rest of the room/bedroom, mold can even be seen on the fabric blinds from the outside 1 A. The breakfast was very modest and unloving. Always the same and after 5 days it's really not nice anymore. Salami, cheese, jam. Finally, we realized that we had a master key and pointed it out to the owner. His reaction ohhh, of course that’s not supposed to be the case. Then we asked where to take the key if we leave early. It just came from outside. So it's shocking to know that others in the house could then have visitors. Last but not least, we were very noisy, we were in 5 different rooms (with other visitors) which, even small rooms, had 7 dogs at times. Therefore, sleeping was only possible until a maximum of 7 a.m. When you asked about the volume, the owner said, well, you don't have to sleep in, you have to get something out of your vacation. So no for me it's *Villa Schimmel fine*The only positive thing was that we met really nice fellow sufferers.
