The holiday apartment is highly recommended. Small but nice. Very nice hosts. Absolutely quiet location. The city center is within easy walking distance. We were there several times and will be back

Kitchen and bathroom were modernized in March 2024. You have everything you need over 2 floors. The kitchen is a bit small to sit in, but you can make arrangements. In 20 minutes you can walk to the old town. Highly recommended for a short vacation.

The holiday apartment is very lovingly furnished in a country house style. The bedroom smelled very musty and unfortunately so did the bed linen. It was a warm day, so I didn't think anything of it at first. Especially since it is of course not unusual given the furnishing style. Unfortunately, the bed linen was made of polyester (oA) and the mattress was made of pure foam. When I lay down in bed tired after a day of hiking, my skin began to tingle shortly afterwards. The balcony doors and windows were opened to get the musty smell out. Neither the smell nor the tingling sensation got any better. On the contrary, I got an unpleasant itch. After washing my body with cool water didn't help, I moved to the couch. I read the wonderful guest books that date back to the 90s. Sometime late at night the tingling subsided a bit and I got some sleep. In the morning I felt exhausted and had itchy hives on my body. But I didn't want to let this ruin my holiday on the occasion of my birthday and set off for the narrow-gauge railway. The hope that the itching would go away didn't happen. When I stood on the Brocken in the rain and couldn't enjoy it, I dared to inform the landlord via email about my unfortunate stay and the circumstances. It was only when I arrived back at the holiday apartment in the late afternoon and decided it would be better to leave that the landlord responded by ringing the doorbell. Annoyed, I was offered to move again, but I couldn't get any money back except for the 3 euro tourist tax, since they couldn't find a replacement for me so quickly.At first I don't find that very human, empathetic or hospitable. To then charge EUR 100.00 for one night (including tourist tax for all days) is very outrageous. I would have expected someone to accommodate me and they would have been able to reimburse me for at least one night. Due to these experiences I can unfortunately only give one star.

I decided at short notice to spend my vacation in the Harz Mountains and, as always, wanted to live in WR.Since my previous accommodation was already occupied, I searched and found it.I'm very satisfied.The price in combination with the facilities (kitchen + WiFi) and the location (less than 5 minutes from the train station) were the deciding factors for me to book this accommodation.The owners are very nice and helpful and the apartment is well equipped.This is located in a separate building in the backyard and is spread over 2 floors.Below is the kitchen and the bathroom, above there is a living room and the bedroom.All in all I really liked it.
