If you're looking for peace and quiet, you've come to the right place, very centrally located. The half-timbered rooms are beautiful, everything is very well-kept and furnished with attention to detail. Thank you very much at this point.

The location is super good. The castle (filming location for “School of Magical Animals” and “The Little Ghost”) is within walking distance. We are not experienced hikers. The wildlife park is also very close and highly recommended. Take 1 euro coins with you. NFC payment doesn’t always work. The planetarium can also be reached in 5 minutes. Look at the events, they aren't that often. Use the row of chairs against the wall here so you can lean your head. You always have to look up, it's really hard on your neck. You can also get into the city very quickly and easily on foot. Use the path through the small park over the city wall. It's really beautiful.

I felt very, very comfortable. When I checked in, I immediately got a good impression, including from reception. I spontaneously booked an additional night without seeing the room. I would have liked to book a fourth night - unfortunately it was full. The hotel is in a very quiet location, parking spaces are available. Wonderful view of the city. The hotel itself is also very quiet. You actually get a bit of a castle feeling.About 10 minutes on foot and you are in the middle of the city. Wernigerode is very, very worth visiting. In my opinion, even more so than Quedlinburg.Almost everything can be reached on foot from the hotel. There are enough sights and attractions to experience that can also be reached by car in half an hour. I'd love to come back. Then I also really enjoy being with my family.

The Schloßberghotel is enchanted, like in a fairytale forest, below the castle and above the old town with a view of the old town or the Brocken. Our room was very spacious and quiet. Breakfast is ****. …

The building with all the wood inside exudes a certain charm, especially the large wooden staircase. You automatically try to imagine what it was like “back then”. The location is also good, a bit off the road and little traffic. The welcome was very friendly and warm, which we can say about all the employees. We had a suite in the villa, quite large with an additional separate room. The furniture was appropriate for the age of the villa, but everything was ok, nothing was broken or really old. The view of the city and the Brocken was nice, even if the weather wasn't that good. The bathroom was more from the 70s, but everything was fine. The breakfast was really extensive, some with homemade sausage, and there was certainly something for everyone. The tables and chairs underline the ambience of the villa.A parking space costs EUR 5 per day, but this does not include a guarantee of a parking space next to the villa. But this is probably due to the fact that some of the guests in the guesthouse belonging to the hotel (half-timbered house below the hotel) did not park in the parking spaces provided for them below. As a small suggestion for improvement, I would suggest some gravel for the parking lot above to fill the already quite deep holes.Maybe you can leave your car parked the whole time, because the walk to the castle or the old town is really not far and you can also use public transport in the area with the spa card. All in all we can recommend this hotel.

Very nice room. A good size for 2 adults and 2 children. Everything was tip top clean. Great location, below the castle. Very nice and the breakfast was well stocked. We had a quiet, lovely 2 nights. Parking right next to the hotel (chargeable).
