It's bad that this hotel cancels a two-night stay via the booking website without any personal message. It takes a lot of time - and now extra money - to look for an alternative accommodation.

Nice hotel that is also fun if you don't play golf. Beautiful surroundings where you can enjoy cycling and walking. And then enjoy the wellness. The staff is very friendly, spacious rooms, good breakfast. The only thing I don't get in hotels is carpeted rooms. It quickly gets a bit grubby.

Stayed 2 nights for business, ended up here as all hotels in Emmen booked for major sports event. very quiet location, good breakfast and service, and room was fine. a bit of an odd ball, bot at the end we liked the stay, definitely good value.

A lot of potential but it is not being used. In my opinion, with the addition of some experienced hotel / catering employees, it will get the class that is possible.

We have just returned from a two-day stay at Zuiddrenthe and I hesitated between 2 or 3 stars. We had booked a suite. The site states that it has a bath and minibar, both of which are not present. We were in room 112, which is above the kitchen and its extractor is apparently connected to the bathroom of 112, so we continuously had the sound as if a very large air conditioner was on. In addition, the smell of rotten eggs came from the shower drain, half of the regular TV channels did not work and the hairdryer also decided halfway through that it was enough... This part of the review deserves 1 star (I did not receive any compensation for this either) . We were able to switch to a regular room and it was really fine: great bed, nice bathroom and a good shower (not unimportant). Furthermore, ok breakfast and ok 3 course dinner. A very beautiful golf course and a nice par 3 course. Ultimately, we ended up with an average of 3 stars due to the excellent regular room and beautiful golf course

Peace is the magic word here. Somewhat remote and directly adjacent to a large golf course, we were in the outbuilding on the ground floor. Good room/beds and not the noise/clunking/slamming doors into the night that you unfortunately almost always have at vd Valk. Breakfast good (enough), price is in line with the market.

We were here for the first time and were pleasantly surprised. What a nice small hotel with beautiful spacious rooms with excellent beds.The wellness is also fine.Breakfast and dinner were well prepared and very tasty.We would love to come back here again.

Modern rooms, neat. Nice and quiet location. Good breakfast. The only downside: I found the beds a little too soft, which meant I woke up more often.But overall a great hotel.Please note that some of the hotel's rooms require stairs.

Spacious room, good beds and delicious food. Person at the reception not flexible! We had a golf package with 1 green fee per person, but my wife does not play golf. I was not given the opportunity to play the 9 hole course twice and even had to pay separately for the par 3 course. Not customer friendly! Last time to Erica!

Nice small-scale and very quietly located hotel. Had only booked for 1 night but got a nice room 102. Room was clean and with air conditioning. Was definitely necessary with outside temperatures above 30 degrees. Didn't use the Wellness, so I can't write anything about this. Staff very friendly, breakfast was good but simple. Dinner was excellent. The hotel is a great base for cycling trips in the beautiful surroundings. We enjoyed it here.
