We went to a gourmet evening with friends and tried out the 5-course surprise menu. The evening was truly an experience in every respect: Julia and Stephan Babel transformed the previously unspectacular Auerberg-Hof into a unique place of enjoyment. With great attention to detail and a finely coordinated combination of old and new, the former stable and the former farm premises now invite you to visit.You can enjoy a fine meal in this unique ambience.The individual courses of the menu were introduced to the groups of visitors by Julia while they were served with the appropriate wine accompaniment, so that the origin and composition of the respective ingredients aroused curiosity about the culinary experience... and we were not disappointed... on the contrary. The final zabaglione with calamansi will remain a lasting memory...We'll be back! Sigrid R.-E.

Went there for dinner and the reception was very warm and accommodating. The restaurant itself is lovingly furnished and a lot of attention is paid to small details. The glasses and all the porcelain are simply very beautiful and modern, in keeping with today's times. The drinks and food were very good and the price was reasonable for what you got. All in all, a wonderful and well-rounded evening. Kind regards to the entire team and compliments to the kitchen. We'll definitely come visit again.

UNFORGETTABLELY BEAUTIFUL! 🥹❤️We celebrated our wedding at the Mächlerhof at the beginning of August and are still overwhelmed. Our day couldn't have been more beautiful and the beautiful ambience of the Mächlerhof with its cozy but modern guest room gave our celebrations a unique setting. Even the drive to Julia & Stephan in Salchenried with a constant view of the Allgäu mountains is like balm for the soul. We were welcomed on the beautiful wooden terrace in the middle of the lovingly landscaped farm garden. After the delicious aperitif, we were allowed to take a seat at the stylishly set table and were treated to a fantastic meal - from the starter to the dessert, everything was absolutely amazing and perfectly coordinated down to the smallest detail, both in terms of taste and the way it was served. Hats off to Stephan and the kitchen team! Our guests were all thrilled and we are still raving about that day together today! I have rarely experienced such professional and pleasant service as at the Mächlerhof - incredibly attentive but never intrusive, great, dear Julia + team! Everyone here carries the charm that this farm exudes and from the first moment you feel like you are with good friends who you haven't seen for a long time but everything is as wonderful as it always was. It was truly an absolutely perfect evening for us that we will remember forever. THANK YOU VERY MUCH - Franzi & Manu 🤍

Only recommended.We spent two very great nights at the idyllic Märchlerhof. We were accommodated in the tiny house “Starry Sky”. Incredibly beautiful mountain views, refreshing country air, relaxed and beautiful hiking trails. Neuschwanstein Castle was about 45 minutes away by car. Froggensee wasn't too far away either. Lots of options for short day trips. Julia and Stephan are extremely hospitable and take great care of their guests. You feel like you're at home.Gladly again!!

A dream!!!The journey alone was quite something, a fantastic landscape with a view of the mountains. But the warm welcome almost topped it. We spent the weekend in the “starry sky” (an accommodation where you could watch stars through the skylight and enjoy a view of the mountains from your bed).We were treated to regional dishes throughout.Definitely again!

We were at the gourmet evening. You receive a very warm welcome and everything tasted excellent. You notice the attention to detail. Unfortunately, the portions are not large and you could do with more. That's why the price is high if you're not completely full. But all in all a great evening in a lovely atmosphere.

I found the address on the internet and since I'm a farmer I thought it might be a farm cafe.Unfortunately, that wasn't quite it, at least not how I imagine it.The coffee and cake were very tasty and the boss was very friendly.Unfortunately I didn't like the layout of the tables and seating.In a café, I would like to have several two tables where a couple can chat undisturbed.The prices are also too high for me as a normal citizen.That's why we can't come a second time.Too bad

If you want a break, the Mächlerhof is the right place for you! We came across it by chance and immediately fell in love with the concept and the images. A little excited about what awaited us, we started our journey. We received a warm welcome and were allowed to move into our apartment, the “Heustock”! The accommodation is a stunner, beautifully and lovingly furnished.Dear Julia, dear Stephan,You are really great hosts and gave our little family an unforgettable stay. Were invited to Beate and Thomas's wedding party on Wednesday evening. We were totally thrilled by the warmth of the hosts Julia and Stephan. Aperitif reception on the terrace with fire bowl, lambskin chairs and blankets. Afterwards there was a 4-course menu inside. Super tasty. The two of us spent 3 nights at the Mächlerhof in the Tiny House Starry Sky. Julia and Stephan were very warm and helpful hosts.The tiny house is super cozy and equipped with great attention to detail. We were there at the end of October, but thanks to the clay plastered wall heating it was cozy and warm; The wood stove provided additional comfort. There is a beautiful view of the mountains from the window next to one of the beds; At night you can watch the stars through the skylight.Once we went to the farm restaurant for two delicious pieces of cake at lunchtime; once in the evening for dinner. All the dishes were very tasty and you could tell that only good things go into the food here. What we particularly liked about the restaurant, in addition to the food itself, was that much of the old cowshed was still visible and had been preserved by the Babels.In short: a very nice place for a little break. We will come again!
