We are currently on the way back from our week-long vacation at Mrs. Eichenseher's holiday farm. We took away a lot of impressions and I would like to write them down in as much detail as possible. First of all: we moved into the Obstgarten holiday apartment with 3 children (2 babies and an 8 year old) and 2 adults. There was enough space and Ms. Eichenseher thought in advance that it would be a good fit for our configuration and that we could all sleep properly. The apartment was absolutely child-safe except for small details and we didn't miss anything in terms of furnishings. The whole thing was furnished exactly as described, was clean and had all sorts of tips and information on the pin board in the apartment. Over the course of the week we were able to immerse ourselves in the world of full-scale agricultural operations and see how things work under absolutely realistic conditions. If you're not prepared to unpack rubber boots and mud pants, you have no place on the farm. There was a lot going on with cows, chickens, horses and donkeys, cats and rabbits, ducks and all sorts of play options and it was better to pack a portion of extra clothes. Ms. Eichenseher also offers a washing machine and a dryer if things become scarce. In addition to bread rolls, you could also buy honey, jam, freshly milked milk and drinks on the farm. We didn't miss anything. The garden and courtyard were lovingly furnished with lots of flowers, idyllic, rural. Some of it is probably a bit older but that doesn't take away from the fun. Is just the way.The only thing that was actually a bit annoying were the flies. They are part of the yard but in the apartment they are very annoying and since the days were very oppressively warm you had to choose between annoying heat or annoying flies. You could perhaps create even more freedom for ventilation with one or two fly screen doors on the balcony door. But now something personal that really moved me during the week and made the vacation something really special for me personally. If you take the trouble to immerse yourself in the hostess' situation, observe her hard work and take away the expectations of service that are unfortunately often too commonplace and get to know this woman personally, you will discover much more than just a holiday apartment. We learned so much more through conversations and short small talks and got tips and tricks. We got homemade apple strudel, when I got sick one day she offered to bring me something from the pharmacy, and at the campfire she brought home-made dough for stick bread. There's a really great, upright power woman with a lot of humanity behind her, who you can get to know if you come with humanity and not arrogance. Unfortunately, this is forgotten far too often. Dear Ms. Eichenseher, I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank you again for the great care and the wonderful vacation. Stay healthy!
