Excellent campsite for bicycle campers.Tent and tractor field has beautiful grass under tall pine trees. This is also the most beautiful part of the campsite.Bad weather room with tables and chairs and cooking facilities. Unfortunately no refrigerator. Nice sanitary facilities, nearby.Unfortunately, the catering industry was closed on the day we were there. Fortunately, we had already bought dinner in Neuenkirchen. The campsite is remote, keep that in mind.

We were there for a long weekend on vacation.We stood directly at the sanitary building. The space was very large, the 50 m dog fence was just enough. Both the fence and the occasional dog attacking were no problem. Sanitary was clean, the place is not suitable for people without knowledge of the ability to use a toilet brush or proper chemical toilet disposal, nor is it suitable for the pasta in tomato sauce in the sink. You can take a look at your own nose there.Gastro close to the square was nice, I found the fries at the lake snack bar very tasty. Bread service was ok, but a bit expensive for us.There are great walking and cycling paths, especially with dogs. And it's great that you can get through the gates on all corners with your card and don't have to walk around the place.The only drawback for us: Our dog needs a short distance to the water so as not to strangle himself 🙈 We found nice watering holes and were forbidden to go to the beach in the evenings, but the distance to the water was simply long for him.

It used to be a wonderful campsite that was especially great for long-term campers and families with children. Families could still vacation here. Now, since the municipality of Wettringen got involved, there is nothing left of it. It's just about making as much money as possible. There is nothing left of the campsite as it once was. It's a shame, but we had a wonderful 15 years there.

The campsite is great, very well equipped and clean. The price-performance ratio is very fair. The places in the "Kiefernhain" were officially fully booked, but there was still enough space and it didn't feel overcrowded at all. The only catch, in our opinion, is the “lunch time” from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. During this time you can't get into the campsite by car, but especially you can't get out of it either. You have to keep this on your radar, otherwise you'll have a "rude awakening" (like we did several times). All in all, still highly recommended!

For me the most beautiful campsite ever. The best choice for families. A huge adventure playground, a great lake for young and old with a sandy beach, a lake cafe and much more. The owners and staff were super friendly and helpful. Washrooms new and clean. We have booked again for next year and are really looking forward to it. Since the space isn't that huge, you can always get a connection. A paradise for children and adults.

There are nice pitches at the campsite. The swimming lake with a sandy beach is beautifully landscaped. There is a snack bar, sunbathing areas and a large playground. Everything was very well maintained. Lots of walking paths and beautiful bike paths. There are 5 points for this.We used the front medical center to shower. It wasn't really clean. The joints were moldy, the drain didn't work properly and the doorknobs hadn't been cleaned in a long time.When showering, you had to keep your hand on the knob because the setting time was too short.We were standing at the RV park. It is located between the main entrance and wastewater/toilet disposal. Since the front seats have no privacy screen from the disposal point, there was always something to watch😉. If the gray water drain is then used to empty the waste and the toilet paper is lying around, it becomes unsightly. Of course the campsite can't do anything about that.A privacy screen is probably already being planned.You can explore Lake Haddorf - leased from the sailing club - on a SUP for 4 euros.When you walk around the lake you can relax on three benches. Unfortunately there is no lake view because everything is overgrown.

First of all, I would like to thank the operator of the campsite for the factual, but not entirely correct, feedback on my review!I would now like to make a comment. We were guests in 2022 AND 2023. I sometimes edit my reviews as I go along. The points of criticism I mentioned relate to our stay in early summer 2023.In 2022 I would have liked to give it 4-5 stars. We were almost alone on the site in the pine grove and the construction work was mainly limited to the front part of the campsite.Last year (2023) dredging took place in the immediate vicinity of the pine grove, even during the midday rest from Monday to Friday. Sure, the whole thing should be finished at some point, but if you're an older person and value an afternoon nap, you've got a little problem or you're using a lot of ear plugs. Unfortunately, ear plugs are important at all. On Friday the square was literally stormed by family groups and people celebrating.Before anyone gets angry about my comments, the following should be noted: Children are not adults and sometimes they make noise. As a father (of now adult children), I know this very well. I also worked in the accommodation industry for many years as the manager of a school camp. And that's why I know the specific problems, i.e. partying and uninhibited alcohol consumption.There's only one thing that helps: be the person in charge and not just put a piece of paper with the rules in a glass box that says calm behavior from 10 p.m. and absolute peace from 12 a.m.If I don't check this as the manager, then it looks like this: The lovely little ones are romping around the place until they're dolls while disinterested groups of parents fill up their tanks. Or there's a lot going on in the neighboring caravan. Then you have the audacity to ask for some peace and quiet after midnight, and you'll often be dismissed with a wild insult.What I really took seriously, however, was the cleanliness in the washhouse, which was really well equipped.In any case, during the course of Sunday morning the whole magic was over and peace returned to the square. Unfortunately, we and our fellow travelers had the feeling that no cleaning was done after the “pack” left. This was the case again on Monday.Conclusion: I think the campsite has huge potential (especially after the renovation). It is embedded in a really great holiday landscape.Unfortunately, it would be a bit too short-sighted to say: Yes, if they had problems why didn't they say anything?If a campsite advertises peace, relaxation and four stars, then the majority assumes that avoidable annoyances do not arise in the first place.PS: The snack bar in the entrance area of ​​the campsite doesn't deserve a golden spoon either. That's a shame because it's completely unnecessary. With a little more love you can put better quality sausages on the grill so that a schnitzel doesn't die unnecessarily in the deep fryer. This also refers to our visit in 2023. It was better last year!PS,PS: Please remember before booking: There is a unisex shower room in the washhouse at Kiefernheim. It can happen that one or two people (actually mostly middle-aged men) present themselves IN FRONT of the actual shower cubicle. Feel free to call me a prude, which doesn't really matter to me, but if I were the father of children or young people there would be a lot of protest!
