We spent three wonderful days at the Gashof Engel in Tennenbach. Wonderful location, great cuisine and a very friendly and open-minded owner. It's not far to Freiburg and the historical surroundings are perfect for hiking. Recommended as a starting point or stopover by motorcycle.

Unfortunately very disappointing.You clearly feel and show that you are not wanted as a guest in the restaurant.The meat was tough several times and the salad was partly out of a jar. The cake wasn't fresh that day.Too bad.--

An inn in a fantastic location where time stood still decades ago. This is ok for the dining room, but less so for sanitary rooms. Hearty food, delicious cakes.

The Engel is a great restaurant that I always enjoy visiting! The furnishings are very nice, old and stylish. The food is very good and so are the portions. The staff is very warm! There is also WiFi and easy parking! It's a great place! Additionally, the restaurant is also dog and family friendly. It has a good quiet location! 👍

I didn't feel like I was a guestIt's more like I'm with my favorite aunt, who hasn't seen me in a long time and is doing everything she can to make me feel comfortable.You can tell here the love of a family that pays attention to details and cleanliness.Service is very important.I can only recommend it.The journey is a bit winding but that's exactly what completes the idyll.

Once and never again!Beautifully located old inn.Because of the good reviews here, we visited the inn. We didn't have a reservation, but we still got a table straight away.It should be a breaded schnitzel with fried potatoes and a cream schnitzel with spaetzle.Actually, you can't go wrong with a dish like this. The fried potatoes turned out to be frozen fries, the cream sauce came out of the bag, as did the mushy spaetzle. When it comes to the schnitzel, I'm still wondering whether it was the unbelievable dryness or the huge amounts of salt that made it almost inedible.The golden brown, crispy breaded schnitzel looked like it was bathed in old fat and tasted as salty as it was greasy.I don't know for the life of me how this house got good reviews. €41.50 burned...very unfortunate
