Incredibly tasty and inexpensive! The pork knuckle was amazing, the side dishes were great and the staff was super nice. For accommodating. The pork knuckle was simply amazing – tender, juicy and with a crispy crust. There were also fresh pretzels, a delicious gravy and a crunchy potato salad. The portions are so large that you will be full and can take something with you for later. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable (€14.50)! Definitely my new favorite place for a hearty meal.

We visited our family and went to dinner there on Sunday lunchtime with 4 adults and 2 children.We received a very friendly welcome and the whole atmosphere is harmonious.The menu is clear and offers something for everyone and we liked the taste and the portions were very sufficient.The service was also good and we felt we were in good hands.All in all we really liked it and we can definitely recommend it and give the new tenant who has only taken over the inn four months a chance.We paid a total of €125 for 6 meals and 7 drinks, which is completely reasonable in terms of price these days.The acoustics in the next room bothered us a bit, but that was mainly because the guests at the next table were a little louder than usual.

I am NOT giving the inn's restaurant a good rating because the food is by far the worst we have eaten so far. Based on the menu and the menu composition, the “spare flame” is clearly evident. Furthermore, the sauces taste like finished products. The still water clearly tastes like tap water and the small version costs €2.90. However, the service was quick and friendly.

Hello everyone....We just had pork knuckle with friends on Thursday evening, because it's only available on Thursdays😉 and it was simply amazing, great in taste and preparation...Big compliments to the kitchen....The service was always courteous and very personable.The boss.....is always ready and a real restaurant operator...very personable, there couldn't be anyone better for this restaurant.Keep it up...we'll be happy to come back.

We stayed here once on our way to Lake Garda. The innkeeper was super nice with great service. We felt very comfortable, the food in the restaurant and the breakfast were great, there were even soft-boiled eggs. We would come back at any time. ;-)

We stayed here for an overnight stay and were very satisfied!The staff is very polite, courteous and fond of children.It takes less than 5 minutes to drive to the hotel from the motorway and there are parking spaces directly at the hotel.

We have eaten there several times since the change of tenant and each time both the service and the quality of the food were very good. Price performance is right across the board here. It's great that Altenstadt once again has a restaurant with Bavarian cuisine that is happy to have you come as a guest. We wish the new tenants all the best! Keep it up!

NASTY HOTEL + NASTY FOODThis was a complete nightmare! Hair in the food & insects in the bed.We changed rooms twice. All rooms suffer from bedbugs.We wanted to leave for another hotel but the owner didn't want to give us our money back.Avoid this hotel!

New tenant, old problems. Service disaster. Waiting with two small children for 1:30 and no food. After 1:45, before my five year old would have started crying from hunger, left the restaurant without food.

We received a very warm welcome and felt very comfortable. We had to leave very early and breakfast was still prepared for us. The hosts are super warm, you just feel comfortable. We will sleep there again soon. Parking available directly in front. The only drawback: it was very warm in the room at night as there was no air conditioning. But you can easily sleep with the window open as there is not much traffic on the street.

Unfortunately the restaurant is closed, which is not clear from the homepage or anywhere else. Only on site, on a board inside, do you find out that it is closed due to a lack of staff.
