An amazing experience ! The owners exceed all expectations. Good beds, delicious and lots of food, friendly with a sense of humor, very clean, everything you need is there, but a bit dated. Unbeatable in terms of price/quality ratio. Highly recommended!!

We had a wonderful stay. The breakfast is extensive and delicious (you can make a lunch box for your lunch break) and especially the dinner is fantastic.

Every word is too much for the run-down house, hovel or whatever else you want to call it. Never again such incompetence as a tourist hotspot without words

I don't know how to put this into words, but if I did I would say wonderful, friendliness, warm, delicious and just great.The hotel is purely a family hotel.Every morning there is always a wonderful breakfast table, with something for everyone. And in the evening you can't imagine what kind of treats there are just to make you melt.I would recommend the hotel to everyone, no matter how old or young.That was the second time I was there and I'll be back next year.

It was beautiful, my family has been coming here for years, the breakfast is delicious, there is a lot of choice, you can make a lunch box, there is no lunch, but in the village there is a lot of choice for lunch, the dinner is super tasty, no one goes to bed hungry. super nice bedrooms and the beds are comfortable

Don't expect great luxury. It is a small-scale, charming hotel.The rooms are a bit outdated, but taken care of down to the last detail and very well maintained and cleaned. There are no family rooms. So parents with children must be divided into double rooms.The breakfast is sufficiently extensive. Plenty of choice and you can even prepare a lunch box.In the evening the food is traditional but very tasty... and lots of it. Nobody leaves hungry.This is the ideal base to discover the Eifel.

Hello from the far north of LübeckLast week we came across the hotel purely by chance through word of mouth, of course we called straight away to see if there were any rooms available and had immediate success. We were there for a total of five days and it was really a great stay there from the service, half board and the room itself, everything was absolutely top notch, even the price-performance ratio was top. The two girls and the chef himself did a great job! We can warmly recommend the Hotel zur altenfrische.P.S Motorcyclists are also welcome

10 starsWe had dinner in the restaurant today. We were given the tip to make a reservation and it was a good thing. The restaurant was full and therefore very busy.Service very friendly and accommodating. Food was delicious and plentiful. Prices are cheap.Next time we're in the area we'll 100% go again.

Our family has been visiting this restaurant on and off for 20 years, if not longer. We weren't even disappointed.The food is, like the Eifel, cozy, warm, honest and like you know it from your childhood. There are no exotic specialties, just the best that the region and season offer. Old-fashioned - but exactly all the positive aspects that old-fashioned stands for. All the ingredients come from local producers, which of course you can taste in terms of quality.For us the only question when we leave is: "When are we coming back?"
