First of all, we were there with a larger group for a seminar. The surroundings are beautiful and invite you to take a walk and spend some time outside. The kitchen staff did a great job, intolerances were addressed and an alternative was always offered. The menu was varied, although always with cream sauce. But also these, lactose free! The rooms were small standard rooms, and one or two silverfish could be seen from time to time. The beds, a disaster. Saggy mattresses, creaking slatted frames, so that you could even hear the rotation from the next room. The highlight was being told on the day of departure that it would have been unpleasant that we had brought our own drinks (we were celebrating two birthdays and the small bar in the form of a few self-service refrigerators cannot serve a cocktail bar). You wouldn't bring anything of your own with you to a restaurant. So, the house rules in the rooms say that you would ask that you refrain from bringing your own drinks and food. This is a request, not a ban. We cleaned up every evening and didn't leave anything behind. All in all, a nice stay for this seminar with an unpleasant ending. Maybe just say it from the start and not have the boxes dragged from the car to the room.

As part of a seminar, we had the opportunity to use the Freudenburg as a conference location. The surrounding area is characterized by a quiet and attractive location. The building is in a very outdated condition and the rooms are more like a youth hostel. The mattresses were sagging, which caused severe back pain for the guests. The lunch dishes were characterized by a lack of variety and insufficient nutrients, and were prepared with a lot of cream. The employees in the kitchen were very friendly and accommodating. The staff at the reception, on the other hand, were particularly unfriendly. On the day of departure, we handed over a small thank you in the form of chocolate and champagne, which was accepted without a word. However, the employee complained that we had brought our own drinks instead of purchasing the drinks offered on site, which were at least twice as expensive. The lady indicated that the drinks brought would be charged next time. After checking out, all three receptionists inspected the rooms and criticized a pillowcase that was already dirty upon arrival and wanted to charge for it because it now needed to be cleaned. Apparently no hygiene standards are observed here, as the covers should always be cleaned after each guest..?

As a group, we visited Freudenburg for four days as part of a seminar. The surroundings of the Freundesburg are beautifully quiet and natural. Parking is about 2-5 minutes from the entrance. The rooms are very small (I had a single room) and are in dire need of renovation. Unfortunately, the mattresses are worn out and the interior is outdated. Many of the rooms we moved into had defects. Unfortunately one room had dirty bed linen, we should be charged for this as it was supposedly caused by us.In addition, the staff at the reception were not friendly and hospitable. At the beginning of our journey we obviously brought our own drinks. This was blamed on us on the day of departure, saying that it was an act of impertinence on our part. After all, the prices here are relatively cheap and you should only buy drinks on site. (We were not told this beforehand). There was also a threat of an invoice. Ultimately, all three ladies searched the rooms for anything unusualThings we did wrong! Too bad!The kitchen staff was very friendly and tried hard and was responsible for me not giving just one star.Unfortunately I cannot recommend this place and would not come again.

The surroundings are very beautiful and invite you to go for a walk. The food and catering were very tasty, even if the menu was a bit one-sided.Unfortunately, the mattresses on the beds were very worn out and uncomfortable. The rooms were not particularly modern. It looked like a typical youth hostel. At the end of the stay a "dirty pillow" was charged.

It was a beautiful day at a sparse but very attractive Bovelmarkt. Good music, nice program, many different delicious food options. It was also a great activity for children, such as pottery and much more. From my point of view, the overall conclusion is small but nice.
