Completely outdated house with furnishings from 30 years ago…In my opinion, the really good reviews can all just be “bought”.Update from November 2nd, 2024The hotel has still not reported the glasses that were damaged by the maid to the insurance company.The expensive frame is still on the manager's desk.They're really trying to rip off older people here.Really sad, I didn't think something like this still existed.All I can say is be careful when booking!_____________________________My mother has been in this hotel for a week now.The single room, the last chamber, was absolutely tiny, just an outrage.It was almost impossible to move in the bathroom.The request for a room change was rejected.The worst thing was when she was lying on the bed in the afternoon, water ran from above into her room onto her bed...Suddenly another room was available for her - which was larger in terms of furnishings but totally outdated...The day before she left, her glasses were on the shelf in the room.After she entered the room again, the glasses were broken and the glass was on the floor...Let's see how damage control works with the house. So far the boss is still acting stupid...

It was our first time on Juist and we had booked our room with half board for a short vacation. We were completely satisfied with the room, the breakfast buffet and also the dinner. Even though the hotel is getting old, it exudes a nostalgic charm. The lobby with its armchairs and books invites you to linger. Our room was clean and everything we needed was available including the possibility of making coffee in the room. Only the mattresses were too soft for our taste. The hotel also made a clean and tidy impression. The staff was always friendly and accommodating. The 4 stars may no longer be justified but we would happily come back at any time

The hotel is a bit older and loses in comparison to new 4 star hotels, but I always feel very well looked after and ❤️welcome.I've been coming here with my parents for years.Would never be disappointed. The service was nice and always helpful. I also can't say anything bad about housekeeping to this day. Rooms were always clean (even if it took a little longer or a towel was missing) everything was always organized.I'd love to come back.(Even if my parents don't pay for everything).

Room facing the street, without an opaque curtain, so too bright at night. Despite complaints, there were no other curtains (they are hanging in the rooms on the garden side, where they are not needed). Mattress and pillows were poor. Mattress was replaced, pillows were not. Broken shower that went from freezing cold to very hot on its own. So you had the choice between frostbite or burns. Shower was repaired after complaint. The toilet seat didn't stay up because it didn't have enough room at the back to lean on. So he was constantly in trouble. Mold problem in the bathroom, obviously treated, but still visible. Old carpet, old-fashioned atmosphere. Despite some complaints, there were no vouchers etc. Indoor swimming pool: stained suspended ceiling with lots of rust on the suspension. Rust on the screws of the ladders, one ladder was bending dangerously. Dirty joints on the edge of the pool. The whole hotel is clearly showing its age and needs to be modernized. Some extremely kitschy plastic decorations (dining room ceiling), while the real and beautiful palm trees at the reception stand around in their plant pots with a price tag without a planter.The hotel is clearly far from 4 stars. Expected more for the price.
