We once had a tent camp. The high school in Munich Au-Haidhausen that I was attending at the time organized it. For a week we had the opportunity to go wild looking for fossils in a quarry, among other things. A few of these pieces can be seen on my YouTube channel in 'Collection'. By the time we had really gotten used to the somewhat uncomfortable sleeping arrangements, the time was already over. The boys were accommodated in a tent camp and the girls in a youth hostel on the grounds. On the last evening, the boys walked in the dark in a torchlight procession to the girls' accommodation and serenaded them. The girls really enjoyed this performance. I still get shivers down my spine sometimes when I think about it. They really were such great times. They are over, in the past, never to come back.

Great family getaway with paddling, biking and fossil hunting.Everything was perfectly prepared and organized by the youth hostel.Delicious food suitable for children, everyone very friendly and helpful. As a family, four of us had a room without a bathroom. This was for the girls in the hallway directly across the street, so no problem. Bathroom is relatively new and attractively renovated. The rooms themselves were a bit older, but clean, well-kept and tidy.If you want to find something to complain about at all: sparkling water ran out relatively quickly at every meal. We then bought it at the vending machine. If you travel by public transport, you have to be prepared for a short, steep climb. A car-free holiday is definitely possible here.On site: several TT boards, slackline, table football, games etc.Supermarket in town, about 10-15 minutes on foot

Nice youth hostel in a good location with very friendly staff and good facilities. We would have preferred an earlier opportunity to arrive and our boys would have been happy about a football field.

Because I didn't like it there at all and what my teacher said I wasn't impressed either. And without school books I couldn't learn anything and I don't have a good life and I don't want to have that either. I don't care what my classmates said. They don't know anything. 😡
