Bathroom full of ants, which we had to remove ourselves after asking several times, cupboard in our room crooked and the top drawer of the dresser was missing. The staff was unfriendly when we asked about the bed linen we had booked and were given some dirty, damp bed linen from the basement. Trampoline broken, basketball hoop no longer usable. No WiFi or reception in the front building. Bathrooms full of insects, dirty at the end, we were refused toilet paper. One day we had ants in front of and in our room, we reported this to the staff, after an eight-hour trip the staff hadn't finished cleaning the room, there were a lot of flies on the bed that were already rotting. The food wasn't particularly good, it tasted like the day before and those who wanted seconds didn't get it. The water that was served with the meal came from the tap and the iced tea was some artificial-tasting billo stuff. On the last evening we wanted to build a campfire and grill, we had to pay 20 euros for the campfire, the amount of wood was so small that we had to look for most of the wood we burned ourselves. For the barbecue there were sausages that didn't taste like sausage and toast that was already moldy for some of us. At least the staks were tasty. I would recommend everyone not to go here, you will only be disappointed with the accommodation

We went on a school trip there. The food is good. The rooms are very, very small and also very susceptible to insects. Most employees have no training. The nearest supermarket is 10 km away. I was afraid every night that insects would crawl into my mouth. Technically not well equipped. Not a great price-performance ratio.

As a family of 5 adults and 5 children aged 7 to 14, we stayed in the front house of the WINDROSE and spent 4 lovely days on Ummanz. The hostel was pleasantly heated, the bathrooms were comfortable and the rooms were just right for nature lovers. We had a nice lounge at our disposal and we used the summer kitchen for our meals, as unfortunately only breakfast is offered due to a lack of staff.Everything is clean, fully equipped and comfortable. The grounds are wonderful and just right for enthusiastic footballers and grill masters. The Trczinski family is caring and helpful. This is very pleasant. But if you want to experience something very special, you should visit the family's Café Zuckerkuss...Right on the Kubitzer Bodden in a beautiful garden you are spoiled for choice.Wonderful cakes, really good coffee and a view of Stralsund. That's what. The website is already great. The café is worth a trip.We will come back and thank you very much.Barbara Wagner and family

No cell phone network no matter what provider. No 4G, and 5G possible. No fridges or freezers available to chill the drinks and it was 36 degrees this week. Lots of mosquitoes that was unbearable. For a week I spent almost €75 on mosquito repellent.

The location is very nice, the outdoor area is spacious and diverse. The rooms are clean and friendly, even for school classes. The front building is great for school classes with a lounge, private entrance and modern bathrooms. The staff were very friendly and the food, in a nice, bright dining room, was good. The hostel mother is very flexible and professional.
