Located in the middle of beautiful nature, the house exudes the charm of the GDR. Everything is still so beautifully old-fashioned and unfortunately in great need of renovation. The innkeepers are very friendly and helpful. But a lot of money is probably needed for modern technology, which the hostel doesn't bring in. So if you're not spoiled and don't have much comfort, then this is the place to be.

The rooms are simple, but very clean and almost all renovated. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You feel very comfortable here. Very nicely located and many excursion options. The price-performance ratio is okay. The breakfast is lovingly prepared and very tasty. We'll definitely be back next year. Can be recommended with a clear conscience

Very nice scout home. Good facilities with lots of options for celebrating in a large group. The rooms and bungalows are still very old-fashioned but some have already been renovated.

Rooms partly GDR standard; The bungalows with their own sanitary facilities are pleasant.The service is top!!! Loving, friendly, courteous and simply strong. Service and location make the 3 stars fade into the background.The preschool children and their companions say thank you for the eventful stay and all the best for the future of their team.

Rooms are simple, just a youth hostel, toilets and showers on the ground floor (as of 2019), the house exudes the flair of the old GDR from the 60s and 70s. Beautiful view!Was there 4 times and enjoyed the stay every time.

Very nice welcome, beds a bit hard but everything was clean and tidy, the water could have been warmer. A nice property in a nice area! We'll definitely come back.

Simple but clean and in the middle of nature.Within walking distance in 10-20 minutes to Bad Blankenburg and Greifenstein Castle.Delicious breakfast.There is a wonderful view from the roof terrace.Our choice fell on a small house. In the summer the fridge was perfect. Fly screens on the windows!Another campfire in the evening.Everything is possible.Small update. There are big problems when registering with technology (email, telephone.) It's better to write a nice letter or just drive by. Great location, the fact that it is old didn't bother me at all, the rooms and sanitary facilities are renovated and JuHe standard. Everything is clean and the area is also tidy. Nice campsite, only the mattress in our room was something for fakirs. But you are individually sensitive.

Simple accommodation in the bungalow village (GDR charm). Originally in a very scenic location. You can go hiking wonderfully. Greifenstein Castle is nearby.

Nice location, everything was clean and functional. Of course, the bungalows have been around for a few years (small renovations could be reconsidered), but there is everything you need for a cozy weekend with friends.

We were here as a sports club at the weekend. Sure, the youth hostel is getting old and some things need to be renovated.But the beautiful and quiet location, the helpfulness and, above all, the friendliness of all the employees make up for it.All of our wishes were fulfilled, the food was great and left nothing to be desired.Therefore, a big thank you and our praise to the hostel staff!Recommended for everyone who appreciates this!
