We went to a family celebration in the Kulmberghaus and - to put it simply - everything was perfect.After the 'ascent' to the resort, we were greeted very warmly at reception and were already in our room after a pleasantly short check-in process.Everything here was clean and of high quality, as if it was new. The view from the balcony is sensational and we were immediately (almost) sad that we had only booked one night.The food in the restaurant was prepared in buffet form for the occasion and without exception, every dish was not only delicious, but also prepared in such a way that the eye could not only eat, but was also more than full.The Kulmberghaus - a clear recommendation from us!

A beautiful small and modern hotel, quietly located on a mountain, with an absolutely great view over Saalfeld and the Thuringian Forest.On the one hand, there are plenty of views in the booked room and in the location. Of course you can also sit outside and enjoy your beer there.The room was very pleasant, clean and with a balcony. The equipment and furnishings were very modern.The service was very friendly.The food left absolutely nothing to be desired. The meals were plentiful and tasty.The breakfast also left nothing to be desired.Conclusion:Small and very modern hotel, in a quiet location, with absolutely great views, top service and cuisine.So if you have 2 euros more in your pocket, we recommend a visit.

We took a little break for a birthday. And we consciously chose the Kulmberghaus. Because we knew it from before.The building was gutted and the interior was completely rebuilt. Our room was large, bright, quiet and modern. The rooms were equipped with air conditioning, among other things. The hotel staff was consistently nice, friendly and accommodating. And the cuisine in the restaurant was really delicious.The only thing that hasn't changed (fortunately) is the fantastic view of Saalfeld.We will definitely come back and are already looking forward to our next vacation

We celebrated our wedding on the roof terrace of the Kulmberghaus and can't stop raving about it!Our 40 guests fit perfectly on the roof terrace and had a breathtaking view the entire evening!All guests praised the excellent buffet. I especially liked the vitello tonnato and the homemade tagliatelle with the perfectly cooked salmon!The service staff and especially the event manager Doreen Vater made this day unforgettable!The previous agreements regarding the process, food, decorations, etc. were simple, clear and unambiguous. If we did have any questions, we always received a prompt, friendly and courteous answer.We would especially like to highlight and thank Mrs. Vater, who always supported us with advice and support! She is a person to like and who always made us feel like we were in good hands. Especially on the day before the celebration, when all brides and grooms probably have the most stress, especially when things really go wrong, we came to the Kulm extremely stressed, talked to her and in the end we were relaxed in a way that was hardly possible in the weeks before. Simply because we knew our big day was in good hands and everything would be under her supervision.When the time came, we were thrilled at how lovingly our decorations were set up and how accommodating the service staff were (despite the previous long night with another celebration on site and probably little sleep!). We were served with friendly faces and full service the entire time.All in all, it was the perfect evening, great food with a good atmosphere and, for us as the bride and groom, the best recommendation for any celebration.Finally, a huge thank you to everyone who worked so diligently and lovingly to make this day so wonderful 🫶🏻

The suite is simply wonderful. Everything is very high quality with attention to detail. The view is indescribably beautiful. The only points of criticism are that there is no refrigerator or minibar. Especially in summer, it would be a sales boost to offer a cocktail menu in the evening. Instead, the restaurant is closed after dinner.The price in the suite includes high-quality toiletries.Unfortunately, the visit to the restaurant was not good. Ordered the steak. Unfortunately, our request regarding the cooking level was not taken into account. The wine recommendation was rather amusing. So we were offered a dry, sweet red wine. Unfortunately, the visit to the restaurant was not convincing. The personal team is very hard-working, polite and helpful, competent

Can only be recommended!!! We had a wedding reception on the wonderful roof terrace with a wonderful view, a wide range of food and very friendly staff. A particularly warm thank you for this. The rooms are very modernly furnished. We would love to come back.

Very quiet location on the Kulmberg with the best views of the Saale valley and the city of Saalfeld. The upscale furnishings are modern and coordinated in design and color scheme; Cleanliness and service were at the highest level. If you want to celebrate elegantly with the family or have not yet found a suitable location for a company event, the Kulmberghaus is the right place for you. Arriving by car is an advantage.

We had the pleasure of celebrating our family celebration at the Kulmberghaus and were thrilled!The location on the Kulmberg is something very special - fantastically beautiful and absolutely quiet, in the middle of the forest. The breathtaking view, be it from the restaurant roof terrace or from the rooms, is unforgettable.The planning, the contact and the entire process were perfectly organized. The staff was extremely friendly, warm and very competent, which made the stay even more pleasant.The food was excellent, the Mediterranean buffet was varied and of high quality. Particularly noteworthy is the celebration on the roof terrace with the fantastic view – a truly unique experience.The hotel rooms are stylishly furnished and equipped with modern technology. They were very clean and tidy and offered a wonderful view of Saalfeld.The breakfast left nothing to be desired – from scrambled eggs to prosecco, there was everything your heart could desire.We can fully recommend the Kulmberghaus and are already looking forward to our next visit!

A very clear recommendation in every respect! We held a family celebration in the Kulmberghaus and were completely thrilled. Planning, execution and process were perfect. In the evening itself the staff was very friendly and very competent.The food was also very good. Very varied and fresh. Price/performance is also very good!The hotel rooms are very modern, very clean and tidy.You also have a great location. Great location, with a beautiful view of the entire city.An absolute recommendation for anyone who needs a break, who likes to eat comfortably with a great view or for people who are looking for a location for an event. An absolute recommendation in every respect!

The hotel's facilities are very modern and new, and the view is very nice.Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio in the restaurant is not right. Food too expensive for the quality. Burnt potatoes, some food cold, meat not of high quality, hardly any side dishes.The service in the restaurant and in the room still needs a lot of improvement. Unsafe, not from the catering industry, beds poorly made, coffee and toilet paper not refilled.When checking out they didn't even ask if everything was ok.P.S. Restaurant manager Jaqueline was great and listened to our "complaints" :-).

The Kulmbergaus Resort is a real surprise package. You drive through forests and meadows, always uphill, until you reach a sharp right-hand bend. Then we head towards the observation tower and bang...there is the beer garden with...public viewing (we were there during the European Football Championship). Behind it is the hotel with restaurant. The dinner and breakfast were very good, the rooms were brand new and had an amazing view. Whoever stays there won't be disappointed. As we were told, a pool on the roof is being planned, and there is also a roof terrace. Weimar, Jena and Rudolstadt are within reach. All in all: 5 stars ⭐️
