Beautifully located by the lake and in the middle of the Thuringian Forest.When we got there the woman at the reception was absolutely drunk and drunk. She had difficulty articulating herself and it was difficult to understand her.I don't know whether she noticed we were there.We still paid our bill.Well then keep cheers!!!

The operators are very friendly and accommodating, the location is fantastic, right on the water. The sanitary facilities are great, with underfloor heating and everything is very clean and new.

The site is uniquely well located. Nestled between mountains and the Hohenwarte Dam in the idyllic Saale Valley. The operators and employees are very open-minded, helpful and nice. Sanitary very clean and child-friendly (children's toilets and sinks at child height). There is enough space on the pitches, electricity and... Fresh water on site. Thank you and keep it up, we wish you optimal utilization and see you soon.

Location of the camping is great! Staff unfriendly. Toilet 🚽 and shower 🚿 dirty. We had booked a lake view but after a few days it was gone and we were full of tents. But we paid for a lake view. That doesn't work.

We were passing through and were able to get a parking space outside opening hours in an uncomplicated and extremely friendly manner. The morning jump into the lake was good too!

Beautifully located campsite at the Hohenwarte dam.Sanitary facilities are neat and clean. Access to the sanitary facilities is via a card, which is also required for showering. The pitches in the row are separated by hedges.We liked it very much.

The lady at the reception is very nice, you can also buy a few things there and it's very cheap. The pitch is nice by the water and the showers and toilets are very clean and there is a radio playing there.

We stayed at the campsite for a long weekend with a motorhome, although it is more expensive. The place is really nice, but the two "receptionists" and groundskeepers are disappointing... the place could be run really nicely, but when the two people in charge don't seem to have any interest in it, it's difficult... rude, stroppy and disorganized! The boat rental is overpriced and the access to the boats is more dangerous than adventurous... just two planks or at least a rope to the jetty would make a difference...

The site is in a quiet location and it's not far to the water if you have one of the rear parking spaces.The toilets and sanitary buildings are clean and tidy.It's not for anglers as there are only small bream, there's nothing more to be had here. You can only fish from two places on the campsite and you have to make sure that no one is swimming or sailing around in a boat. You can't get to the water in other parts of the campsite because it's too steep. So fishing can also stay at home, so you have space for other things to take with you 😉.You can play volleyball and mini golf. Unfortunately, the table tennis tables cannot be used because they are made of stone and the surface is brittle, so the blades can safely be left at home. Unfortunately, we were really looking forward to it.Otherwise the operators and staff are nice and helpful.For children there is also a playground with climbing frames, which is very new and the little ones will have fun.I can't give any information about the bungalows because we were there with Wohni.

Had a chalet for 2 people from July 27th, 2024 to August 3rd, 2024. booked. It was for 2 people. Sufficiently large, but the bed was only accessible from one side, so the person lying against the wall always had to climb over the other if he had to go out at night or simply went to bed later. What made things worse was that there was a bed for a third person upstairs, so the space above was limited. The kitchenette in the living room has had its day, you could only guess what setting you had on the stovetops, you couldn't see anything on the control switches anymore and since they could be turned in both directions you had to try out which setting was the highest or lowest attitude was.Unfortunately, we didn't find anything on the campsite's website that would have told us that bathing shoes are absolutely necessary, because the entry into the water is very rocky, which means there are very pointed and sharp-edged stones at the edge of the flood and in the water. Otherwise a very nice area with plenty of excursion options. On the site you can rent motor boats (7HP) that can be driven without a sports boat license, you can also rent some others, there is also a bread service and small everyday items that can be purchased at the reception.

We weren't in the first row by the water, but in the 300 row of parking spaces it was ok too,So we liked it, we'll come by boat next time, I think it'll be even nicer, this time my engine was still in maintenance and wasn't finished on time, it's a shame but we borrowed one, that was OK and good 👍 , the facility is fine so far, the toilets and showers have been newly renovated, so you can't say, as I said, we were satisfied and the service is also very good, the groundskeeper was in a very good mood and helped me quickly with mine Dead car battery helped my bus start again 👍😏

The bay is okay, but there are nicer places to swim... The reception by a self-proclaimed "sheriff" immediately spoiled the good mood!Registering as a day guest was extremely difficult because the lady was alone...The Four Seasons restaurant was positive because the food was very tasty and freshly prepared and the lady was super friendly 😊

To access the water you have to pay €5 per person plus the entrance fee for the car. I don't think it's that great.
