Renovated hotel with main building and annex building. There are also rooms in the main building. But we stayed in the next building and were very satisfied. Great large room under the attic with a double bed for the adults and a bunk bed for the little ones.The rooms on the ground floor and first floor are divided like small apartments and are somewhat squat. There are separate rooms for adults and children. Our bathroom was newly renovated with a nice shower. There were still a few shelves missing in the bathroom. Otherwise everything was great. Bed was very comfortable. There was a balcony, although a bit dated.The attached climbing forest is great. Very good instruction from the staff. Courses from easy to very difficult. Basically rather challenging. Laser tag arena in the basement. Great for newbies who want to try laser tag. Probably too small for professionals. We had a lot of fun.Pay attention to the opening times!!!However, the boss also opens the arena out of turn if the group is large enough. Just ask.The climbing forest costs half as much for hotel guests. Laser tag is only €5 per 15 minutes instead of €7.50.Breakfast is ok. Not a lot of choice and sometimes something is empty, but here too, refills are available upon request.I would have liked more types of cheese. Real croissants or yeast pastries would have been nice. They are rather rare. On Sundays we had scrambled eggs. Otherwise just boiled eggs. The "buffet" is arranged somewhat awkwardly in a corner, so you're always standing on your feet. There is a lot of convenience available (cup yoghurt, canned fruit cocktail), but also fresh things such as peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes. Cereal available. But then only with milk.In my opinion, this is where the greatest potential for improvement lies. I had the impression that the concept for breakfast wasn't really thought through yet and doesn't yet fit with what the hotel wants to be. Maybe that will happen.In general, you can tell that the hotel still has a lot to renovate, but they had to start now in order to generate sales. Keywords: external stairs, balconies and windows. But that had no influence on our stay. We liked it here. There is a lounge in front of the breakfast room where you can also eat food you have ordered or brought with you. There are also board games and other things to spend time here. There is also a playroom in the annex for younger children (up to approx. 6 years). The hotel is practically directly behind the train station. Lake Titisee is about 10 minutes away on foot.We are sure that investments will be made here to further optimize the hotel.We had a great vacation here!

Overall it's a bit older, but the location and the staff are really great. Everyone is very friendly from the reception to the cleaning staff. The rooms are really large and spacious, but they are a bit old, especially the bathrooms and the windows need updating.Overall, it's very worth it.

The hotel is located quite centrally (everything is easily accessible on foot), but not quite in the village. The rooms are functionally furnished and kept rather simple. Not so new anymore. The breakfast is good. Friendly staff. Enough parking spaces available.

It is a hotel for people who are looking for adventure or just want to hike, climb and ski in winter. So it was perfect for me. The inside of the hotel is a bit rustic. The room is clean and the furnishings match the hotel, i.e. comfortable. S-Bahn nearby. The city center and the lake can be reached in just a few minutes. Breakfast plentiful. Staff is competent and friendly.

The sound insulation of the rooms is not great and the door opening system does not work the first time. However, the room where we stayed, despite being a little dated, was impeccable.Breakfast didn't have much variety but what was available was very good.

Great hotel with dogs!!!We stayed there with our dog for 2 nights and were immediately warmly welcomed with our dog!He could go anywhere, on a leash, and was welcome everywhere. Thank you!!!The lake was about a 10-minute walk away - perfect!Breakfast great selection - everything your heart desires and was sufficient!Thank you for the great short vacation!

Very decent hotel, clean, attentive staff at breakfast (which was very good), quiet.Good surprise: we had a small family suite designed for 4, even though we had a reservation for 3. Slightly outdated bedding and sofas, no fridge but for one night, we didn't need one. The quality/price ratio remains correct.Small downsides, even if it worked well: no "human" welcome. It’s a machine that does the job! And no indication of breakfast times...This remains a good address.

We received a very friendly welcome at reception and were well looked after with any problem. Since we were there early, we were able to temporarily store our backpacks.It is a rustic hotel (hostel) over 100, Corona has also left its mark here, we had a family room with 2 rooms, a small children's room with 2 beds, a bedroom/living room with and 180x200 bed plus a wardrobe room (walk-in closet for everyone) . The bathroom is modern and clean. However, the windows are getting old, but you didn't notice the trains and cars in front of the door.For breakfast (included in the price) we had to walk across the courtyard into the main house (1 minute), where a daily changing breakfast was waiting at the buffet (yes self-service), an orange juice and multivitamin dispenser and a coffee machine that served everything from coffee to cappuccino to the latte as well as spit out hot water and hot chocolate. I found it a disgrace that the people around me filled their plates to the brim (snatched it from under the noses of others) and then didn't eat it all, let alone tell the super friendly ladies that something was empty. So you could only shake your head at all the complaints we heard.We thank you💞 for the wonderful 4 daysWe'll be back!!!

This was our second time at the Action Forest Hotel and it certainly wasn't the last time. The location is really great with its proximity to the swimming paradise and Titisee. We had a very spacious and clean family room. The breakfast buffet was varied (not the same every day) and what was particularly positive for us was that there was decent coffee.The staff was super (child) friendly and very helpful.In the Action Forest the name really says it all, not only that in this hotel you get the Hochschwarzwaldcard, which in itself is really great if you are active and want to do a lot, the hotel itself offers a lot: we have it The children played the outdoor escape game, which takes them through the forest with a tablet and has to solve various tasks. Super! We also tried out the many marble runs, which are really fun, especially for younger kids. Of course we also went to the in-house climbing forest, great fun for the whole family, we were thrilled. In the evening we played a round of laser tag in the in-house laser base, also great!Conclusion: we were completely satisfied with the great overall package of location, our own offerings, Hochschwarzwaldcard and child-friendliness and can only warmly recommend the Action Forest Hotel to active families!
