Entering the premises is not necessarily painless... as there are low passages... and under certain circumstances it can be a bit breakneck as there is no way to hold on when walking through the premises on the upper and lower floors

Pros:- beautiful castle garden- quick communication with owner- very large - spanning 4 floors- idiosyncratic castle charm- great cuisine- bright living roomMinuses:- Room layout (4 single rooms (one of which almost has to be considered a walk-through room (see bathrooms)), 1 walk-through room and a large attic without separate areas)- Baths!!! In the basement there is a shower but no sink or toilet, 1 floor a toilet, 2 floor a toilet (shower can be neglected because it is in the sloping ceiling and only relevant for people under 1.55) and the bathroom adjacent to the master bedroom - that's what makes it the master bedroom almost becomes a second walk-through room- Owner claims afterwards that things were broken by us and have to be charged for: Thank God this is known from previous guests and as a precaution I have a video of every room on which it is clear that we did nothing with it have to do- Reliability and organization by the owner is very stressful, as there are no clear statements, changes in check-in times and little customer orientation (not much, as he offered me an alternative for the delay period)- Cleanliness (the poor cleaning lady was exhausted when we arrived, it was superficially cleaned but far from clean)- Mattresses are already very worn out, we recommend bringing your own pillowsIn principle, your stay can be very pleasant if you know in advance what you are getting into.

We celebrated our wedding at Suggestion Castle with 150 guests. The castle is beautifully secluded and surrounded by lots of greenery. What really bothered us was that the communication between the owners wasn't good.In addition, the price changed differently than agreed and we simply had to book more rooms. The kitchen was not suitable for the occasion. On the wedding day, strangers just showed up and took up a room in the studio without us knowing. The owner was also present that weekend. The castle was not cleaned cleanly. We would not recommend celebrating a wedding on the property under these circumstances.

Very nice. Everything was clean. There was even a jacuzzi in the bathroom. The bed linen was also totally clean and the bed was very comfortable. Very very good value for money. Everything was so beautifully set up, including the decorations. I would love to come back again and again.

We got a room at short notice and was happy to have been able to get in touch with the owner so easily. Room was okay, as were the amenities. Castle ghost was not seen.

Nice little castle where you can spend a good time with larger family or friends. The castle is located on a winding road above the town and is surrounded by a small park that lies within the fence. The neighbors are definitely very quiet as the castle is surrounded by forest on one side and above the cemetery on the other side.So you can relax undisturbed.

I used Suggenstein Castle as the location for my birthday party. And I really have to say: all my guests - and especially me - were thrilled! For me, the price-performance ratio is absolutely right here. The communication worked well, the journey was uncomplicated - and the castle is simply fantastically beautiful. The rooms were lovingly decorated with fresh bedding and towels and there was even a small, golden chocolate heart at each sleeping place. Everything was clean, the sanitary facilities are great, the kitchen is incredibly well equipped and it is simply an experience to spend time there.I can absolutely recommend Suggenstein Castle - as an event location or simply as a place for a weekend getaway. The only drawback is that there are very few bathrooms for the maximum number of people. There were 15 of us in total and we had 3 bathrooms at our disposal - but we managed well with that too.I think Suggenstein Castle is a wonderful and unique mix of modern and aristocratic. There are the "castle vibes" in many places (e.g. in the library, on the balcony of the master bedroom & in the entrance area), but it is still modern, fully equipped with a whirlpool in the bathroom, a large and well-equipped kitchen and new heating.10/10 recommendation!

We booked the “castle” for three nights as a family. What was really disappointing was that it was dirty everywhere (sauna area, hot tub and everywhere on the floor & shelves), there is MOLD behind the beds in the basement and the mattresses/bed covers smell either musty or not washed! In addition, only one shower worked properly, the seals in the others had been removed.
