Pleasant youth hostel, clean and quiet, yet central. And the innkeepers were happy to accommodate my request for vegetarian cuisine, thank you very much for that!

Shortly after the Balinger pedestrian zone, about 12 minutes on foot from the train station, at the waterfall, is the youth guest house. We came here for a workshop weekend. A warm welcome and the team at the guest house is lovely, caring and just friendly throughout. The lunch is more than sufficient and delicious. The breakfast and evening buffet is varied and also more than sufficient. If something is empty, it is quickly refilled. Vegetarians don't miss out here either. The rooms are equipped with three double bunk beds, cupboards, table, sink, stool - simple but completely sufficient. The beds are not quite ideal for older people or people with spinal disc problems, it was very tiring for me to sleep. If you're a light sleeper, I recommend earplugs - you can hear the floorboards creaking when someone goes to the toilet - but for some it's probably not bothersome at all 😊Renovations are underway in some places. The shared bathrooms are functional and there are showers. However, these are for getting in and have a very high edge - a handle might not be a bad idea. Everything is tip top clean, including the toilets. Smoking is permitted in the yard and ashtrays are available. Conclusion: All in all, it is a youth hostel, if you need more comfort, there is also a hotel right next door. If you're just looking for somewhere to sleep and loving hosts, then you're in good hands here! Many thanks to everyone from the team 😊

Cleaned as little as possible. Last time I saw four fat spiders in the room and before that there were a few further in front of my window (large ones) and my mattress was very dirty there was even a piece of chewing gum stuck to it. The only good thing in the youth hostel is the breakfast and not even That was good and the beds are very bad, they have it better in prison and you don't have access to the kitchen to make yourself food, which means you HAVE to eat junk foot
