The hotel is long past its best years.Heating in the bathroom broken, door handle in hand, no soundproof windows - located directly on the B27 - 5m from the window to the road! After I had the doorknob in my hand, I went to the reception and asked for repairs, and the answer was "... and what should I do with it?"The ladies at breakfast make an effort, but coffee is only made to order and the juice - 0.5l jug - is often empty and takes time to refill. The rest of the breakfast is ok, baked rolls.

We wanted to on Thursday September 19th. go eat there, it was closed! The inn's website says it should be open. Is it so difficult to update the current opening times online?

We stayed here for 6 nights. Wonderful family run hotel and restaurant; very clean and spacious room, comfortable bed, the room included a refrigerator, large bathroom and a small balcony to enjoy. The hotel is situated in an isolated area with convenient on/off exit from route 27. Traffic noise was a bit concerning at first, but did not affect sleep/dining experience. The hotel location is incredibly close to Hohenzollern castle for early morning arrival to beat the crowds. There is no elevator, but our luggage was handled by a young hotel family member, so no problem!Breakfast is continental with excellent choices of boiled eggs, delicious deli meats and cheeses, breads, croissants, pretzels, jellies, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, fresh coffee and selection of teas.Lunch and dinner choices were excellent and the food was superb. I do believe this was the best in dining that we have experienced in Germany over the last 5 years. Salads were fresh, colorful and delicious. The schnitzel and spaetzle were especially good!! Entrees were a wide variety and prepared top of the line. Service was impeccable. Very attentive and accommodating wait staff at all meals. Check-in was easy and very accommodating to our needs. Dining areas were spotless. Outside dining area was very comfortable. Very pleasant areas to escape to and quietly enjoy your day. We can't wait to come back!

We were welcomed by an older, very nice gentleman. The single rooms are getting old, there is carpet in the room that has been through a lot. However, the bathroom is clean and well maintained, no mold and clean joints, which is very important to me personally. The breakfast buffet was small but sweet and had something for everyone. And for the price of €69 including breakfast, you really can't complain.
