Campingplatz Klein-Westerland

We were there from July 16th. Until July 18th, 2024 for 2 nights here. We asked in advance by phone whether there was a free place. We received a very warm welcome and were able to take another look at the square before we maneuvered our 7.5m road cruiser onto the square. The place is small but very nice and cozy for our taste. Our pitch was quite large with a fixed seating area. It's a shame that direct access to the NOK seemed to only be possible for long-term campers. You had to go around the outside to get to the bathing area, but that wasn't really a problem. The sanitary building was in a clean and tidy condition and you can access it with a key that you received at check-in. There were three of us and unfortunately we only got one key, but I think if we had asked we would definitely have gotten another one.I didn't know the toilet paper rule either and I found it somehow strange, but basically not a bad thing. Since our parking space was a few meters away from the sanitary building and my girls didn't want to walk across half the space in the rain at night, a longer stay would not have been possible without disposing of the chemical toilet. Although we could definitely have imagined a longer stay.Nevertheless, we can imagine stopping here again for one or two nights.

A very well-kept campsite with pure peace and quiet

Nice little place, very quiet, no toilet paper (bring your own). The time for the shower tokens, 5 minutes, runs through, then the water stops. Restaurant only open on weekends. Operators are nice people. Narrow entrance for large WW or mobile.

I called the campsite around 1:00 p.m. today to inquire about 2 parking spaces for booking purposes. Although according to the website the site is open all day without a lunch break, I am met on the phone by a female. A person hit me that I could think of to disturb them at lunchtime. I should call again at 3:00 p.m. I have never been treated so rudely on the phone. Further questions are also not answered in a very unfriendly manner. I cannot recommend a campsite like this.

+++ directly on the NOK (North Baltic Sea Canal) 🔝+++ very good campsite for tents & caravans+++ clean, well-maintained sanitary facilities+++ Restaurant on the campsite, but according to our information it is only open on certain days (Fri-Sun).

Small, quiet place with many long-term campers, showers not free, no WiFi, bistro has everything delicious food, staff with northern German humor, toilet paper is given to you at reception if you don't have any with you. Was there with a bike and a tent.

Operator very nice.Some things need to be repaired (tiles were very wobbly on our site)The shower heads are not optimally solved.But we felt comfortable.

I'm someone who likes to give out all the stars...but that's really not possible here! We noticed the negative comments mentioned in other reviews in exactly the same way! So there are: no disposal of cassette toilets...but only of "night dishes", no toilet paper in the toilets (intentionally!!!...because the campers supposedly steal the rolls!!!), no disposal of glass bottles possible. For structural reasons, the campsite is very narrow. You have to be very careful not to drive into anyone.From the campsite itself you can NOT get directly to the NOK (possible erosion of the bank) but if you walk around the campsite you have a great view of ships passing by.The restaurant, however, was positive.Delicious food and very pleasant and quick service.
