We were here with a larger group over Pentecost for the second year in a row. The positive thing is the beautiful location and the fact that we were able to use our caravans as a wagon fort. Unfortunately the place was very uneven and the electricity supply was poor for 5 euros per day. The main fuse in the power box kept blowing out. Due to continuous rain, the paths were groundless and muddy. What doesn't work at all are the sanitary facilities. There were far too few showers and toilets for this number of people. There was no cleanliness or hygiene. It was really disgusting. The condition of the showers is also substandard. These are by far the worst sanitary facilities we have ever experienced. The hardness is the hole for emptying the chemical toilets. You have to open the dirty lid on the floor by hand in order to empty the toilet. Right next to the hole is the sink. If you tip out the cassette, the feces spray onto the legs of people who are washing their dishes. This entire situation should be fundamentally reconsidered by the operator. The place has so much potential if proper sanitary facilities and supply and disposal points were built. The access route should also be reconsidered. The main path should be properly gravelled and parking bays should be set up at the entrance to Frankenroda. If you come here with a caravan or motorhome and a larger vehicle comes towards you, then nothing works. There are very few alternatives. Even though we really enjoyed the area and the weekend, we won't be coming back this year. If the sanitary situation is sorted out, we'll be happy to come back.

Very nice campsite, very quiet, exactly what we were looking for. The area is beautiful and you can go hiking, cycling and canoeing. There is also a riding stable that offers a lot. Restaurant offers very good food. We will definitely come back and then with bikes.

A beautiful and quiet place to camp. We were there with the whole (extended) family. Having breakfast directly on the Werra is a dream.Our children got a riding lesson at the nearby riding stables and were happy.The cycle path is ideal for skating and biking.We'll be back!

We had our first T2/LN1 meeting there. Very nicely located.Toilets and showers clean.Well, mobile communications are at the end of the world, but you really have peace and quiet.Free WiFi if you need it.

Very nicely located accommodation on the Werratal cycle path.We were completely satisfied.

Nice little, rustic campsite.It is located directly on the Werra and you can also fish.

In a beautiful location, directly on the Werra, in the Werra Valley, the complex offers a complete package. Your dog and your own horse (sufficient stables) can come along on holiday. I can't rate the rooms - since they're campers - but they make a good impression from the outside. Gastronomy on site. Accommodation options: in a tent or caravan, in a holiday apartment or wooden houses.

Beautifully located campsite next to riding school. The campsite is actually more of a field where you can choose your own spot. There are several places on the Werra river. Sanitary facilities are reasonably to well clean. Don't imagine too much about this, though. However, it is sufficient. The area is ideal for beautiful walking and cycling trips. The bike ride to Eisenach is beautiful and takes you along the Werra. Beautiful half-timbered houses and lots of history. The town of Frankenroda is also fun to cycle through. You can eat well in the restaurant at the campsite. In the evening and at night it is very dark and wonderfully quiet here.
