Newly renovated property, our holiday apartment “Waldsicht” was also completely newly furnished. The location in the pampas means absolute silence and a lot of peace. In the evenings, you can watch the deer grazing from the terrace as they come out of the nearby forest into the open spaces (tip: bring binoculars if you have them). The disadvantage of isolation:- The only alternative to the car is another car. There is absolutely nothing within walking distance.- The internet (Wi-Fi but free) is, to say the least, a disaster.

The Rösch holiday farm is ok in itself. But we were accommodated outside in the "old" farm near Kißlegg. There were 7 of us and therefore had two floors for us.What is of course annoying is the remote house. The 10 minute drive to the main farm is just not right. There are also no animals on the outside farm. There are vehicles and a straw stable with which the children can keep busy (older vehicles) and also a toddler slide with a swing. The “farm” living area is older and is functional. The other apartments have been modernized and also have new windows etc. But we were able to sleep really comfortably and it was quiet. If you have higher demands, you may want to avoid the “farm” apartment. Even if no one steals, the outside doors are broken (don't close properly, you can only lock the "back exit" and leave the house).Bathrooms are ok. Creaking floorboards and noisy sound in the apartment, as the doors are also old.It definitely needs renovation. The price was definitely way too high for the week. What's nice is the surroundings. There is a lot to discover and the swimming pool in Kißlegg is great. The Ravensburger Spiele Park is also great. (Check in advance whether you can find 2 for 1 cards).Offers at the main farm are also good: the children had a lot of fun riding ponys and they learned something about the ponies. The 2 star deduction is because the price is too high (for the old part of the farm and the condition in need of renovation) and that the farm is too far away from the main farm. The owners could, for example, buy new table tennis bats for the table or replace the swivel grill. Also replace the children's toys. With a few small investments it might be a little more acceptable again.

Beautiful holiday apartment in Holdenreute (App. Falkenhorst). There was no bread roll service, although it is on offer. Just like animals, apart from a very trusting cat that always wanted to come into the apartment. The on-site playground consists of a swing and a table tennis table, all overgrown with tall grass. For the price you can at least expect the lawn to be mowed. It takes longer than the 10 minutes mentioned to drive to the farm in Haidgau.

Very nice rooms and surroundings. Unfortunately we were in the house next door [a few kilometers from the main house where programs are offered.] from the house next door. So in an apartment where the grandparents probably live downstairs... We didn't want to ask about that directly...I would like to thank you in advance for a 👍!

In total we were in Holdenreute for a week over Pentecost. There we were in the left part of the house called the “farm”.It was very spacious, furnished in an old-fashioned way and overall fine. Four bedrooms, a kitchen, a living room. The kitchen had the essentials except a microwave. But you can live with it. We were there with a total of six adults and four children. It worked and was ok so far.WiFi is also available. The coverage could have been much greater and the speed could have been much faster. But just having WiFi was better than nothing. The windows have no shutters. Instead, you have to fold the wooden shutters over the window like before and fix them with a metal plate.A few crossbars keep falling out of some bed frames, even though there are people lying on them who don't weigh more than a hundred and ten kilos. This needs to be improved. The refrigerator in the kitchen has a small ice compartment in the refrigerator. So you can't fit too much frozen food in there. After arriving we looked for the small animals that were promised. But there were no animals there except stray cats and insects. Maybe this also counts as small animals. There is a large meadow behind the house. There is, among other things, a table football table, a table tennis table, 2 swings, a small gazebo with a table, bench and chairs in it and a somewhat unstable swivel grill. Next door is a barn with straw and children's vehicles, a waste separation room and a small plastic children's house in front of it.The waste separation room (see photos) was very dirty and crammed with lots of bulky waste. All the bins were also full and filled with mixed contents, which made proper waste separation impossible. There were also some things there that children could hurt themselves on. This was particularly inconvenient because the room was accessed via a large, broken wooden barn door, meaning that every child could march in and out without any problems. Our “farm” apartment had a front door facing the street and a door at the back that led directly into the garden. However, there is no key for the rear door. Even after we asked if we could get a key for it, no one was given to us. The result of this was that we always had to walk around the house to get to the garden, which was particularly inconvenient when we were grilling and therefore had to carry all of our food around the house. The actual farm in Haidgau is a whopping 16.8 km away from Holdenreute. So if you actually wanted to see animals, you had to successfully drive around 34 km of winding, narrow roads there and back. I always thought, “I hope no one comes my way.” In retrospect, I think that's going too far.Kißlegg, approx. 5 km away, is ideal for shopping.

A fantastic location with a view of the Alps, close to Lake Constance - you can really have a lovely holiday here.
