A wonderful place! Many thanks to all the people who live and work here and make this possible. We were here for a family holiday and had a great time. The playground and animals are great for children.The area invites you to walk, sit and relax.Everything is simply lovingly prepared and furnished and you just feel comfortable. We'll be back - thank you very much!

An overall beautiful facility, visited on the day of the open monument. The Christ Pavilion was open. But that was all.

The Christ Pavilion/Church is a building definitely worth seeing!Modern sacred architecture with a difference and refreshing!The rest of the monastery village is also worth seeing.Afterwards, a detour to Mühlhausen is not far and is also recommended.

We spent a long weekend in the monastery (family with three children). We are not religious, but found the concept of the historic site being used as a kind of hostel interesting. The monastery has been very successfully restored and modernized. The Christ Pavilion is worth a trip even without an overnight stay!I wouldn't necessarily choose the monastery again as accommodation for several days. Certainly OK for (youth) groups, but a bit inappropriate for a family. For example, there are only single beds and no blackouts on the windows.The food is similar to that of a youth hostel. Lots of convenience food, but at least always something fresh (fruit, salads). You can withstand it for a few days, but probably not longer.I didn't understand the religious concept of the monastery. The morning service I attended shocked me in terms of content. It was about abstinence and basically how sex outside of marriage was a sin. In marriage, however, men and women should always be available to each other, said the preacher. A sermon that opens the door to abuse and that I wouldn't even expect in my local Catholic community. Pretty scary.If I understood correctly, the preachers and denominations change in this monastery. Everything seems a bit blurry to me and that's probably why there are such unpleasant outliers. However, I lost interest in the Christian faith again. I don't have to put up with such nonsense straight from the Middle Ages.Oh well. The landscape around it is still beautiful. And as a yoga practitioner, I find spirituality somewhere other than religion. At least not in this monastery anymore. Om.

An interesting place to relax and discover. There is something for everyone here, children can use the playground or feed the animals or marvel at the Christ Pavilion.
